Who prepares these printed sets, and what this page is checked against

The printed sets are produced by Shri Chakradhar Publication Pvt. Ltd., a Delhi publisher that has worked with IGNOU distance learners since 2010, using its own writing team and its own printing press. Is the IGNOU MBA project still submitted in hard copy in 2026?

Yes, a printed original is still needed. The MMPP-001 guidelines ask ODL students to send one typed, bound copy to the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068. In recent sessions IGNOU has also opened an online mode, and its June 2026 upload instructions still ask for the proposal proforma approved in original and the originality certificate signed by both student and guide.

In other words, the online route does not remove the paper stage. The signed pages exist on paper first, and the upload is a scan of that finished original. The two routes compare as follows.

MBA (Online) students submit through the LMS portal. Whichever route you use, the submission date decides the result cycle: 1 December to 31 May for the June term-end results, 1 June to 30 November for December.

Print, sign, bind, then send or scan: the order that avoids a returned report

Most paper-stage problems with an MMPP-001 report come from doing the right steps in the wrong order: binding before the certificate is signed, numbering pages before the front matter is added, or printing a cover whose title has drifted from the approved one. The sequence below keeps each requirement in the place where it can still be fixed.

Step 1 is the one to repeat just before printing. A printed set shows how the cover, contents page and bound-in documents sit together, which makes steps 2, 5 and 6 much easier to get right the first time.

Binding, paper and cover page: what the MMPP-001 guidelines actually fix

The MMPP-001 guidelines fix five physical points: a typed report, A-4 paper, double spacing, a bound volume, and the approved proposal bound in rather than stapled. They do not name a binding type, a cover colour, a font, margins or one-sided printing.

Several guides online present hard binding as compulsory, tell students to avoid spiral binding, or add rules on single-sided printing and logos. None of those appears in the MMPP-001 guidelines. Project booklets for some other IGNOU programmes do set their own binding and routing rules, which is why advice copied from a BCA, MCA or education project often does not fit an MBA report. For MMPP-001, choose any binding that produces a genuine bound volume, keeps the required documents permanently attached and survives the post. If your guide or Regional Centre asks for a particular style in writing, follow it.

Line spacing is double. A great many IGNOU pages say one and a half; the MMPP-001 guidelines say “typed in double space” and describe a report of about 50 to 60 double-spaced pages, not exceeding roughly 18,000 words excluding appendices and exhibits.

What the MMPP-001 cover page must show

The guidelines require four items on the cover page: your name, your enrolment number, the name of your guide and the title of the project. Details such as the programme code, the course code MMPP-001, your Regional Centre and the session are common additions and do no harm when they are accurate, but they are not listed as requirements. Whatever you add, the title must match the approved proforma exactly.

Hard copy questions students ask about the IGNOU MBA project

Can the IGNOU MBA project report be handwritten?

No. The MMPP-001 guidelines ask for one typed copy of the report, typed in double space on A-4 paper.

How many printed copies of the MMPP-001 report do I need?

Print two. One bound copy is submitted, and the guidelines ask you to retain a copy because the submitted report is not returned after evaluation.

Can I hand the report to my study centre or Regional Centre?

The MMPP-001 guidelines direct the report to the Registrar (SED) at Maidan Garhi, by registered post, speed post or by hand at that office. The Regional Director of your Regional Centre handles the synopsis, which is a separate stage.

Do I need to post a hard copy and also upload the report online?

The documents checked describe posting and online upload as two routes, and neither asks for both. Use the route notified for your session, keep its proof, and do not rely on email, which the online instructions exclude.

Should the fee receipt go with the report?

Keep the receipt for the Rs 500 project evaluation fee with your submission papers. The fee is paid with the term-end examination form for the session in which you submit, and the handbook notes that the amount may change.

What exactly comes in a printed set?

A printed project report together with the matching synopsis for the same topic, so you can see how an approved proposal turns into a finished report. It is a reference for format and structure, not a document to submit.

Are these printed sets approved by IGNOU?

Check if a set exists near your subject area

Using a printed set without repeating it

A printed set can only ever be a model. The Certificate of Originality you and your guide sign states that the project is your original work and has not been submitted earlier to IGNOU or any other university, and the MMPP-001 guidelines say plagiarised reports are dealt with under the University’s own policy. Our product pages say it just as plainly: a readymade set submitted as it is carries a real chance of rejection, and there is no refund on that basis.

Keep what is structural: chapter order, the sequence of the methodology section, table labelling, the way the annexure is arranged. Replace what is substantive. At a minimum that means your own organisation, location, period and respondent group, which in turn gives you your own title, data, tables and findings. Settle those in the synopsis, because the approved title cannot change when you submit the report.
