The three-section shape matters more on MSCHSC than on most programmes. The School of Continuing Education does not set a single undivided paper. Every MHC and MDC booklet examined for this listing splits 100 marks into long answers worth 30, medium answers worth 30, and short notes worth 40, and each section gives you more questions than you must attempt. MHC-004 for the July 2024 and January 2025 intakes offered five long-answer questions and asked for two; MHC-002 for the July 2025 and January 2026 intakes offered four and asked for two. The selection is part of the work, and a set that answers the wrong count of questions in the wrong section is a set that has to be rewritten.

What ₹320 a Subject Buys, and What It Leaves to You

The figure is flat and it is per paper. Order MHC-001 on its own and it is ₹320. Order the entire first year, seven assignment-bearing papers, and it is ₹320 each. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. Nothing is added for the cover sheet, nothing is added for the question paper copy, nothing is added for handwriting matching, and nothing is added for courier.

What the rate does not buy is a promise about the calendar. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. A learner in a metro with daily courier service and a learner in a hill district on a twice-weekly route are not on the same clock, and quoting a single number to both would be quoting a number that is wrong for one of them.

What it also does not buy is any statement about your result. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. That is not a hedge, it is the accurate description of a system where the Study Centre coordinator and the appointed counsellor decide, and this publisher has no part in that decision.

Reference PDF or Submission Copy: Telling the Two Apart

Two very different products circulate under names that sound almost identical, and MSCHSC learners searching for help routinely land on the wrong one. Worth defining both once, plainly.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session. You open it on a phone or laptop, read how a competent answer to that question is built, and then write your own version. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on paper and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. One is study input. The other is the thing you physically hand over.

The distinction is not a marketing one. The MSCHSC booklets say in their own instruction pages that answers should not be copied directly from the Self Learning Material, and every SOCE paper is set to be answered in writing and handed to the Study Centre coordinator. A downloaded file is a reference to write from. It is not a submission, and printing it does not make it one. Anyone who tells you a printed PDF can be handed in is describing something IGNOU’s own instruction pages do not describe.

The Eight First-Year MSCHSC Papers, Code by Code

The Common Prospectus for July 2026 sets out the first year as eight entries totalling 40 credits. Seven of those eight carry a Tutor-Marked Assignment. MHCP-001 is a field project and is assessed through project work rather than through a TMA booklet, which is why IGNOU’s own booklet front matter counts seven assignments in the first year against eight table rows.

Those eight credit values add to exactly 40, which is the figure the prospectus prints against the first-year block, and the same 40 credits are what IGNOU awards as the P.G. Diploma in Community Development and Extension Management, code PGDCDEM, to a learner who stops after the first year. Learners taking that exit route order the same seven papers on the same terms as learners continuing to the master’s.

The first-year elective is the point where MSCHSC stops looking like a self-contained programme. Choose MGS-001 and you are writing against a gender-studies paper; choose MRD-202 and you are writing against a rural-development paper. Learners who want reading around either can look at the store’s gender and development answer files or the rural-development diploma answer files, since those are the programmes the two codes were originally written for. Either elective is ₹320 as a handwritten set, the same as any other paper.

The Seven Second-Year Papers and the MEDS-051 Choice

The second year is seven entries and a further 40 credits, bringing the programme to 80. Six carry a TMA; MHCP-002 is the research project.

MHC-005 at 8 credits is the heaviest single paper in the programme and the only one carrying that weight, which usually shows up as the longest answer set in a second-year order. MDV-110 is a development-studies code, and MEDS-051 is a corporate social responsibility code; neither prefix belongs to Home Science, and learners often find their reading trail leading into the development studies help books or the corporate social responsibility diploma titles before they find anything filed under MSCHSC. The MDC codes in the first year have the same character and sit close to the development communication diploma material.

Counted across both years, MSCHSC draws on six code prefixes: MHC, MDC, MHCP, MGS, MDV and MEDS, with MRD available as a first-year alternative. That is more borrowed prefixes than almost any master’s programme IGNOU runs, and it is the single most common reason an MSCHSC learner cannot find their paper on a supplier’s site. If a code on your admission record is not named on this page, send it anyway; the handwritten service works from whatever the university has actually issued a booklet for.

Where IGNOU’s Own MSCHSC Paperwork Contradicts Itself

MSCHSC is a young programme, approved in the 58th meeting of the Academic Council Standing Committee in November 2022 and launched for open and distance learning shortly after. Young programmes carry unresolved documentation, and MSCHSC carries an unusual amount of it. Every disagreement below was found by reading IGNOU’s own documents against each other, and is reported here rather than quietly smoothed over.

The Two SOCE Cut-Offs Printed on Your MHC Booklet

Submission deadlines at IGNOU are set per school, and carrying one school’s dates to another is the fastest way to miss a cut-off by months. The School of Continuing Education prints its own pair on every MSCHSC booklet, and they are keyed to the session you were admitted in, not to the session you are sitting the exam in.

The MHC-004 booklet for learners admitted in July 2024 and January 2025 prints 31 March 2025 for the July 2024 intake and 30 September 2025 for the January 2025 intake. The MHC-002 booklet for learners admitted in July 2025 and January 2026 prints 31 March 2026 for the July 2025 intake and 30 September 2026 for the January 2026 intake. The pattern is stable: 31 March for a July intake, 30 September for a January intake, with the year rolling forward one booklet at a time.

Two things follow that catch MSCHSC learners out. The first is that 31 October and 30 April, the dates most widely quoted online, are School of Management Studies dates. They are not printed on any MSCHSC booklet. The second is that IGNOU issues university-wide extension notifications most years, typically moving 30 September to 31 October and 31 March to 30 April, and those notifications are separate from what your booklet prints. The booklet date is the one to plan against; the extension, if it comes, is a reprieve rather than a schedule.

Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. On a 6-credit paper like MHC-001 or MDC-003 that is a substantial block of the grade decided before you enter the exam hall, and the MSCHSC booklet is explicit that the term-end examination for a course is closed to a learner who has not submitted its assignment.

Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment. Booklets are replaced each cycle and an old paper answered perfectly is still the wrong paper. Decoding MHC-002/AST/TMA-2/2025/2026 Before You Post It

Every SOCE assignment paper carries an assignment number, and on MSCHSC it is built from four parts rather than the three most programmes use. Read left to right, MHC-002/AST/TMA-2/2025/2026 gives you the course code, then AST for assessment, then the TMA serial, then a two-year span.

The TMA serial is the part worth understanding, because on MSCHSC it tracks the course number rather than counting assignments in sequence. MHC-002 carries TMA-2. MHC-004 carries TMA-4, printed as MHC-004/AST/TMA-4/2024/2025. The number is not telling you this is your second or fourth assignment; it is echoing the digit in the course code. A learner who orders codes out of sequence will see non-consecutive TMA numbers on the papers, and nothing is wrong.

The two-year span is the pair of intake sessions the booklet serves, which is why the MHC-002 paper reads 2025 and 2026 rather than naming a single session. It is a different convention from the one used by management programmes, where the paper names a month and a single year. Copy the assignment number onto your cover sheet exactly as your booklet prints it, spacing and all, because that string is how the Study Centre matches your set to the right cycle.

Your Own Hand, Copied from a Photo You Send

An assignment set arriving in handwriting nothing like your own is a problem that shows up later rather than at the counter, and it is avoidable. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge.

What makes a usable sample photo

A page of ordinary writing works better than a page written carefully for the purpose. Half a side is enough. Photograph it flat in daylight, with the whole sheet in frame and the camera square to the page rather than at an angle. Capital letters, lowercase letters and a few numerals in the sample give the writer more to work from than a block of uniform text. If you write in a distinctive way, a particular slant, a habitual loop, a way of forming the digit seven, that is precisely what the sample is for.

The sequence is deliberate: the sample goes across, you look at the returned handwriting, and only then does payment come into it. Nothing is written until you have seen the hand your MSCHSC set will be written in.

Medium, Intake Year and Backlog Papers

The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. For MSCHSC that has a specific meaning worth spelling out: the prospectus records the medium of instruction as English, and both booklets read for this listing are English papers. If IGNOU issues a paper for your code in another medium, it is covered at the same ₹320; if it does not, no supplier can produce one, whatever their category page claims.

Intake year is where MSCHSC learners most often assume they are stuck and are not. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. A learner admitted in July 2023 who never submitted MHC-003, a learner clearing a single second-year paper two cycles late, and a learner ordering a clean first-year set for the current intake are all quoted the same rate. Send the intake year with the code list and the correct booklet is matched to it.

Learners on the PGDCDEM exit route are on exactly the same terms. The exit award is the first-year 40 credits, so the paper list is the first-year list, and nothing about the ordering changes.

The Five Things to Send on WhatsApp

Ordering does not need a form. Five details settle an MSCHSC order completely, and anything beyond them is noise.

1. Your course codes. MHC-001, MDC-005, MHC-007 and so on, exactly as they appear on your admission record. Include the elective you actually chose.
2. Your intake session and year. July or January, and the year you were admitted, because that is what determines which booklet applies.
3. Your medium. The medium your booklet is issued in.
4. A handwriting sample photo. One clear picture of a page in your own hand.
5. Your delivery pin code. Which is what allows a realistic timeline to be confirmed for your order rather than guessed.

Nothing else is needed. No enrolment number, no fee receipt, no identity document.

Once the Courier Reaches You

Open the packet and check it against your booklet before anything else. Confirm that the course code on each answer set matches a code on your admission record, that the assignment number printed on the question paper copy matches the one on your booklet, and that the number of question sets equals the number of papers you ordered.

Then fill in the cover sheet. Enrolment number, name, full address, Study Centre and date are yours to complete, and the SOCE booklet is unusually firm about the layout: it states that if the prescribed format is not followed the script may be returned for re-submission. Write the details in the positions the booklet shows.

Submit each course separately rather than binding several papers into one file. The MSCHSC booklet instructs learners to submit each assignment separately and to keep all questions of a single assignment together, and mixing codes in one bundle is a common reason a set comes back. Get a receipt or a stamped acknowledgement from the Study Centre coordinator, photograph the pages before you hand them over, and keep both. Marks typically appear on the grade card some weeks after submission, and a photograph plus a receipt is what resolves a set that does not show up.

What MSCHSC Learners Add to the Same Order

Most MSCHSC orders are not for a single paper. Learners handling a full year usually pick up a few other things at the same time, and it saves a second round of postage to name them here.

Questions MSCHSC Learners Send Before Paying

Which MSCHSC codes can be ordered as handwritten sets?

Every code IGNOU issues an MSCHSC Tutor-Marked Assignment booklet for. Across both years that is MHC-001 to MHC-009, MDC-003, MDC-005, MDV-110, the MGS-001 or MRD-202 first-year elective and the MEDS-051 second-year alternative. MHCP-001 and MHCP-002 are project codes rather than TMA codes and are handled separately.

Is it seven assignments in the first year or eight?

IGNOU’s own booklet says both. Its opening page states seven assignments, six compulsory courses plus one elective. Its instruction page two sheets later refers to all the eight assignments contained in this booklet. The seven figure matches the prospectus table once MHCP-001 is treated as a project rather than an assignment, and both booklets read for this page carry the same contradiction, so it is a template error rather than a real change. Your Study Centre coordinator is the only authority on what your enrolment requires.

Can I print an MSCHSC solved assignment PDF and submit that?

No. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session, meant to be read and written from. A printout of it is a printed document, not a handwritten submission, and IGNOU’s assignment instructions describe answers written by the learner and handed in at the Study Centre. If you want the reference file, buy that as a soft copy. If you want something you can submit, that is what a written set is.

What is the difference between the MSCHSC solved assignment and this handwritten set?

Format and purpose. The solved assignment is a file you read on a screen to see how a good answer is constructed, then write your own version from. The handwritten set is paper, written out in a matched hand, arriving with a cover sheet and a copy of the official question paper, and ready to hand over once you fill in your enrolment details. This listing sells only the second.

My MSCHSC deadline is 31 October according to a website I read. Is that right?

Not according to your booklet. The School of Continuing Education prints 31 March for a July intake and 30 September for a January intake on the MSCHSC papers. The 31 October and 30 April figures belong to the School of Management Studies. Separately, IGNOU often issues a university-wide extension notification that pushes 30 September to 31 October, which is probably what that site was describing, but an extension is not the printed deadline.

I was admitted in July 2023 and never submitted MHC-003. Can I still order it?

Yes. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Send the intake year along with the code so the correct booklet is matched, because the MSCHSC papers change between cycles and the question set for your intake is not the current one.

Why does my MHC-004 paper say TMA-4 when it is my first assignment?

Because the TMA serial on MSCHSC papers echoes the course-code digit rather than counting your assignments. MHC-002 carries TMA-2, MHC-004 carries TMA-4. Ordering codes in a different sequence will produce non-consecutive TMA numbers on your papers and nothing is wrong with them.

Is MSCHSC available in Hindi?

The Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English, and both booklets read for this page are English papers. Several aggregator sites advertise Hindi-medium MSCHSC answers anyway.
