Description
In short. A handwritten assignment is the answer set for one IGNOU Tutor Marked Assignment question paper, written out by hand and handed in as a hard copy, and for MSCCHEM, the 80-credit M.Sc. (Chemistry) that the School of Sciences runs across four semesters, the codes that actually carry a question paper are the theory papers MCH-011 to MCH-013, one of MCH-014 or MCH-015, MCH-016 to MCH-025, and three of the five MCHE-011 to MCHE-015 electives, while the eight laboratory codes MCHL-011 to MCHL-019 carry none at all and are assessed through the practical work your Study Centre arranges; Shri Chakradhar Publication prepares the handwritten set one course code at a time. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which for MSCCHEM means the English paper, because the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent, and the MCH booklets add a condition most programmes do not print: the paper is marked out of 100 and 40 per cent of that is needed to pass it. Every MCH booklet opened for this page tells you to write on foolscap rather than A4, which is the single most important sentence on this product for an M.Sc. Chemistry learner. Orders and code lists go to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830.
Four Things Reach You, and One Thing Never Will
What is couriered for each course code is a physical bundle, not a download. The answers to that code’s Tutor Marked Assignment questions are written out by hand on foolscap sheets, in blue ink, with the 4 cm margin the MCH booklets ask for kept clear on the left, top and bottom so an evaluator has somewhere to write. On top of that sits the IGNOU-format cover sheet, prepared free with every order, with the enrolment number, name, address, course code, course title, assignment number and Study Centre fields laid out exactly as instruction 1 of the MCH booklet prints them. A copy of the official question paper the answers were written against travels with the bundle, so you can check at the counter that the set in your hand matches the paper your Study Centre expects. The pages are ordered by question number and left loose or tied as your centre prefers.
The thing that never arrives is a file. No soft copy or PDF is sold. That is a deliberate limit rather than an omission: several sellers offer M.Sc. Chemistry learners a “handwritten scanned PDF”, and a scan is not something you can hand across a Study Centre counter. Instruction 6 on the MCH-011 and MCH-016 booklets is unambiguous about where the paper goes, saying the answer sheets are to be submitted to your Study Centre within the due date and that sheets received after the due date shall not be accepted. A file does not satisfy that. Paper does.
Shri Chakradhar Publication also does not send the completed set to a Study Centre on your behalf. The counter trip is yours, and the reason it stays yours is set out in the section on what to do once the bundle arrives.
Everything ₹320 Buys on a Chemistry Code, and the Two Things It Does Not
The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. On MSCCHEM a “subject” means one course code with one booklet against it, so MCH-011 is one unit and MCH-016 is another, and a learner clearing a full first-year theory load of MCH-011, MCH-012, MCH-013, one of MCH-014 or MCH-015, MCH-016, MCH-017, MCH-018 and MCH-019 is ordering eight units. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. The cover sheet is free with every order, the copy of the question paper is included, and the handwriting match costs nothing extra.
Two things are outside the price and always will be. The first is any statement about marks. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. That matters more on MSCCHEM than on an essay-based programme, because the MCH papers ask for mechanisms, structures, term symbols and numerical work that an evaluator will mark against a specific expected answer, and no outside writer can predict how a particular Study Centre’s evaluator will treat a Russell-Saunders term symbol or a CFSE calculation.
The second is a date. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. The store’s older pages carry two different courier windows and a third figure appears on some legacy product bodies; none of those are commitments and all of them are being removed. What you get instead is a confirmation for your own pin code, given to you before money changes hands.
Reference File or Submission Bundle: Which One a Chemistry Learner Actually Needs
These two products are confused constantly, and on a science programme the confusion is expensive. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session: you read it, you check your own understanding against it, and you then write your own answers. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on paper and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. The first is a study aid. The second is the thing you actually hand in. Neither one replaces the other, and a downloaded PDF of model answers cannot be printed and submitted.
| Solved assignment | Handwritten assignment | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft copy, one PDF per course code and session | Hard copy, written by hand on foolscap sheets |
| What you do with it | Read it, compare it against your MCH block material, then write your own answers | Check it, sign the cover-page declaration, submit it at your Study Centre |
| Who it suits on MSCCHEM | A learner who wants to see how a spectroscopy or kinetics answer is structured before writing | A learner who has the understanding but not the hours to write ten ten-mark answers by hand |
| Rate | Priced separately in the store’s solved-assignment section | ₹320 per subject, courier included |

IGNOU’s own instruction settles what happens at the counter. Instruction 2 on the MCH-011 booklet says to use only foolscap size writing paper for writing your answers, instruction 3 asks for a 4 cm margin on the left, top and bottom, and instruction 6 says the answer sheets are to be submitted to your Study Centre. Every one of those describes sheets of paper being written on and carried in. Nothing in the MCH booklets contemplates a printed file. If your interest is in the model answers themselves rather than a bundle to submit, the store’s course-wise solved assignment section for master’s programmes is where the MSCCHEM reference files live, and that page, not this one, is the right place to look for them.

The MCH Theory Codes That Carry a Question Paper
The table below is the whole taught structure as the Common Prospectus July 2026 prints it, semester by semester, with the credit value against every code. Read it against your own admission record rather than against a competitor’s list, because two things in it are commonly got wrong: MCH-014 and MCH-015 are a choice of one, not a pair, and the eight MCHL codes carry no question paper at all.
| Code | Title of the course | Nature | Credits | TMA? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MCH-011 | Inorganic Chemistry – I | Theory | 4 | Yes |
| MCH-012 | Organic Chemistry – I | Theory | 4 | Yes |

| MCHL-011 | Chemistry Lab -I | Lab | 2 | No |
| MCHL-012 | Chemistry Lab -II | Lab | 2 | No |
| MCHL-013 | Chemistry Lab -II (see the conflict box below) | Lab | 2 | No |

| MCH-017 | Organic Chemistry – II | Theory | 4 | Yes |
| MCH-018 | Quantum Chemistry and group theory | Theory | 4 | Yes |
| MCH-019 | Green Chemistry | Theory | 2 | Yes |
| MCHL-014 | Chemistry Lab -IV | Lab | 2 | No |
| MCHL-015 | Chemistry Lab –V | Lab | 2 | No |

| MCHL-019 | Electroanalytical and Other analytical methods Lab | Lab | 2 | No |
Scroll the table sideways on a phone to see the credits and TMA columns.
The asterisk on MCH-014 and MCH-015 carries a printed rule, and it is the one structural instruction the prospectus does spell out clearly. The learner takes one of the two, and the choice is made on what was studied at 10+2: a learner who studied biology at school takes MCH-014 Mathematics for Chemists, and a learner who studied mathematics at school takes MCH-015 Biology for Chemists. The programme is filling the gap in your background rather than reinforcing the subject you already have, which is why the pairing reads backwards at first glance. Both are 2-credit papers and both have a live booklet, so whichever one lands on your record is a single ₹320 unit like any other code.
The MCHL column is the part worth reading twice. Eight laboratory codes sit in this structure, sixteen credits in total, and not one of them appears on IGNOU’s own MSCCHEM assignment index with a booklet against it. Those sixteen credits are earned in the laboratory sessions your Study Centre timetables and are marked on what you do at the bench, which is why the School of Sciences never issued a question paper against them and why no handwritten set can exist for an MCHL code. If a seller lists “MCHL-011 Chemistry Lab -I solved assignment” against your session, and at least one competitor site currently does, there is no question paper behind that listing.
Three of the Five MCHE Electives, and How the Credit Arithmetic Proves It
The fourth semester is where the prospectus stops explaining itself, and the gap is worth walking through because it changes how many units you order.
| Code | Title of the course | Nature | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| MCHE-011 | Elective-I: Applications of spectroscopy to Inorganic & Bioinorganic molecules | Elective | 4 |
| MCHE-012 | Elective-II: Spectroscopic Identification of Organic Compounds | Elective | 4 |
| MCHE-013 | Elective-III: Supramolecular Chemistry | Elective | 4 |
| MCHE-014 | Elective-IV: Primary and Secondary Metabolites | Elective | 4 |
| MCHE-015 | Elective-V: Advanced Kinetics and Electrochemistry | Elective | 4 |
Scroll the table sideways on a phone to see the credits column.
The prospectus prints all five electives with no note beside them, unlike the asterisked MCH-014 and MCH-015 pair, which does carry a selection rule. Sum the table it prints and the reason a rule is needed becomes obvious. The first semester comes to 20 credits once the pair-choice is counted once, the second semester comes to 20, the third semester comes to 20, and the fourth semester’s three compulsory codes, MCH-024 at 2, MCH-025 at 4 and MCHL-019 at 2, come to 8. That is 68. Against a stated total of 80 credits, the fourth semester has room for exactly 12 more, which is three elective papers of 4 credits each. Take all five and the programme sums to 88, eight credits above its own stated total.
So the arithmetic forces three of five, and the prospectus never says so. That is not a reason to guess. It is a reason to read your own registration record and confirm which three MCHE codes were allotted to you before ordering, because the three a learner in one Regional Centre holds are not necessarily the three another holds. Shri Chakradhar Publication writes against the codes you name, so a wrong code list means a wrong bundle.
Seven Places the Chemistry Documents Contradict Each Other
Everything below was found by reading IGNOU’s own documents against one another for this page: the Common Prospectus July 2026, the live MCH-011, MCH-014 and MCH-016 assignment booklets, and the official MSCCHEM assignment index. None of it is a rumour from a study group, and none of it is a reason to panic. It is a list of things to confirm with your Regional Centre rather than assume.
Confirm each of these against your own record and your Regional Centre before you submit anything.
1. The MCH-016 booklet prints the wrong assignment code. The live MCH-016 booklet, valid 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, states Course Code: MCH-016 and then, on the next line, Assignment Code: MCH-011/TMA/2026-2027. That is the MCH-011 code carried over from the template. If you copy the assignment code off the booklet exactly as printed, you will write MCH-011 on an MCH-016 answer sheet. Write your own course code and ask your Study Centre which form they want.
2. Three different assignment-code formats are live at once. MCH-011 prints MCH-011/TMA/2025-26 with a two-digit second year. MCH-016 prints MCH-011/TMA/2026-2027 with a four-digit second year. MCH-014 prints MCH-014/TMA/2025 with a single year and no session word at all. One programme, one school, one set of booklets.
3. The MCH-014 booklet contradicts itself on its own validity. Its cover reads “Valid from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025”, a six-month window. Instruction 7 inside the same file says the assignment is valid from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024 and tells you to obtain the 2025 paper if you miss December 2024. The cover and the body describe different years.
4. MCHL-013 is titled “Chemistry Lab -II” in the MSCCHEM table, duplicating MCHL-012. The M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry table on the facing page of the same prospectus prints the same code as “Chemistry Lab-III”. The MSCCHEM lab sequence then jumps from II straight to IV at MCHL-014, so no “Chemistry Lab -III” is printed anywhere in the MSCCHEM structure.
5. The sister programme’s code is spelled three ways. The prospectus calls it MSCANCHEM. The MCH-014 booklet cover calls it MSCACHEM. The file on IGNOU’s assignment portal for the 2024 MCH-011 paper is named for MSCCHEM and MSANCHEM. All three refer to M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry, which shares the whole MSCCHEM first year.
6. The assignment index and the SOS mirror disagree about the current session. The official MSCCHEM index still heads its live block “Current Assignment: 01st January 2025 to 31st December 2025”, a window that closed in December 2025, and lists MCH-016 to MCH-019 with no downloadable file behind them. The SOS mirror meanwhile serves an MCH-016 booklet valid to 30 June 2027 and an MCH-011 booklet that expired on 30 June 2026.
7. An in-house conflict, disclosed rather than hidden. The handwritten assignment guide on the sister site ignouproject.com quotes a TMA booklet instructing learners to use A4 ruled paper. That is accurate for the booklet it quotes. It is not accurate for MSCCHEM, whose booklets say foolscap. Where the two disagree, your own MCH booklet wins, and the ignouproject.com wording is being amended.
Your Booklet Prints a Validity Window, Not a Deadline
This is the question every MSCCHEM learner arrives with, and the honest answer is not the one the aggregator sites give. Search for an IGNOU assignment last date and you will be told 30 September, or 31 March, or 31 May, or 30 June, or 15 September, depending on which site loads first. None of those dates appears anywhere on an MCH booklet.
What the MCH booklets actually print is a twelve-month validity window and an instruction to submit “within the due date”. The MCH-011 booklet reads “Valid from 1st July, 2025 to 30th June, 2026” and carries the session label 2025-26. The MCH-016 booklet reads “Valid from 1st July, 2026 to 30th June, 2027” and carries the session label 2026-27. Instruction 7 on each explains the consequence: if you fail the assignment or fail to submit it inside that window, you obtain the next year’s paper and submit that instead. Instruction 6 adds that answer sheets received after the due date shall not be accepted. The School of Sciences leaves the actual date to your Study Centre and Regional Centre, and that is why no figure is printed on the paper.
There is a second complication specific to this programme. The official MSCCHEM assignment index frames its windows as January to December, while the booklets served on the SOS mirror frame theirs as July to June. Two conventions, one programme. The practical consequence is that the answer to “when is my MSCCHEM assignment due” cannot be looked up on any website, including this one. Read the validity line on the top of your own booklet, then ask your Study Centre coordinator for the submission date they are working to, and treat the earlier of the two as the one that matters.
The one figure that is fixed is the weighting. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. The MCH booklets add a threshold most programmes do not print: the paper carries 100 marks in total and 40 per cent of them are needed to pass it. A submitted-but-failed assignment is a real outcome on this programme, and instruction 7 tells you what follows, which is the next year’s paper rather than a resubmission of the same one.
What to Write in the Assignment Code Line, and Why It Is Not Obvious Here
Instruction 1 on every MCH booklet asks you to head the first page of your answer sheet with enrolment number, name, address, course code, course title, assignment number, Study Centre and date, in that order, and adds that the format should be followed strictly to facilitate evaluation and avoid delay. Most of those fields are copied off your registration record. The assignment number is the one that causes trouble on MSCCHEM.
The assignment code sits above the marks line on the Tutor Marked Assignment page inside the booklet, not on the cover. On MCH-011 it reads MCH-011/TMA/2025-26. On MCH-014 it reads MCH-014/TMA/2025. On MCH-016 it reads MCH-011/TMA/2026-2027, which is the printing error described in the conflict box above and the reason this section exists. The pattern the school intends is clearly the course code, then TMA, then the session, but the school has not applied its own pattern consistently across three booklets of the same programme.
The safe procedure is short. Copy the assignment code from your own booklet, but check that the course code inside it matches the course code on the cover of that same booklet. If it does not, as on MCH-016, write your actual course code and ask the Study Centre coordinator which form they want on the sheet. Study Centres see this every session and will tell you. Do not carry a code across from a different course, and do not copy a code off a seller’s website.
Your Own Hand, From a Photo You Send
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. That is the whole mechanism, and it happens before payment rather than after it.
What Makes a Useful Sample Photo
Half a page is enough. Write it on ruled or plain paper with the pen you normally use, and include a few numbers and a chemical formula or two if you can, because MSCCHEM answers are full of subscripts, superscripts, arrows and structures, and a sample of pure prose does not show a writer how you form a subscripted 2 or a reaction arrow. Photograph it flat in daylight rather than under a lamp. Shri Chakradhar Publication returns a short sample in a matched hand on WhatsApp, and nothing is written until you say the match is close enough. If it is not close enough, say so and a different writer is assigned.
The reason this matters on a Chemistry programme more than on most is that the answers are dense with notation. An MCH-011 paper asks for VSEPR structures, molecular orbital diagrams, Russell-Saunders term symbols and CFSE calculations. An MCH-016 paper asks for mechanisms, rate constants and coordination diagrams. Those are drawn and written, not typed, and a hand that forms them clearly is worth more to an evaluator than a decorative one.
English Only, Any Year, Backlogs Included
The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. On MSCCHEM that resolves to a single medium: the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction for M.Sc. (Chemistry) as English, and every MCH booklet opened for this page is an English paper. There is no Hindi MCH booklet to order, and any listing offering one is selling something IGNOU does not issue.
Session coverage is wider than the medium. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. This is not a marginal case on MSCCHEM. The programme runs on a four-year maximum duration against a two-year minimum, so a learner sitting on an MCH-013 or MCH-020 backlog from an earlier cycle is entirely ordinary, and the expired MCH-011 booklet still being served on IGNOU’s own mirror means older papers are in circulation whether anyone intends them to be or not. Name the year printed on the validity line of the booklet you hold and the set is written against that paper rather than against whatever the current one happens to be.
One thing to settle before ordering a backlog code: confirm with your Regional Centre whether the paper you hold is still the one they will accept, because instruction 7 on each booklet says a lapsed assignment is replaced by the next year’s rather than resubmitted. Shri Chakradhar Publication will write against either, but only your Regional Centre can tell you which one counts. If you are holding an older MCH paper and are not sure it is still live, send the validity line to the backlog desk and the rate is confirmed against that paper.
Five Lines in Your First Message, and That Is the Whole Brief
Ordering is a WhatsApp message, not a form. Five things are needed and nothing else is asked for.
- Your course codes. Written as they appear on your record, for example MCH-011, MCH-013 and MCH-018. Name the MCHE elective codes individually if you are in the fourth semester, since the three you hold are not necessarily the three someone else holds.
- The session on your booklet. The validity line at the top, for example “1st July 2026 to 30th June 2027”, or the 2026-27 label. This is more reliable than the year you enrolled.
- Your enrolment number. For the cover sheet, so it arrives filled rather than blank.
- Your Study Centre name and code. Also for the cover sheet, and it is the field learners most often leave out.
- Your handwriting sample photo. Half a page, daylight, including a formula or a number if you can.
Nothing else is required. No password, no login to any IGNOU portal, no scan of an identity document, and no payment before the sample comes back to you.
Send the five lines and get the sample back
₹320 per subject for MSCCHEM codes, hard copy on foolscap, courier included, no minimum order. The handwriting sample reaches you before any payment.
Once the Bundle Is in Your Hands
Check the course code on the cover sheet against the code on the question paper stapled with it, and both against your own record. That takes a minute and catches the one error that cannot be fixed at the counter. Then read the answers. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course. On MSCCHEM that reading is genuinely useful preparation, because the term-end paper draws on the same blocks the assignment covers.
Submission goes to the Study Centre allotted to you, as instruction 6 on the MCH booklets says, not to a Regional Centre and not to headquarters unless a notice tells you otherwise. Ask for a submission receipt and keep it. The MCH booklets also suggest, in their own words, that you retain a copy of your answer sheets, which on a hard-copy submission means photographing the pages before you hand them over. Marks appear on the grade card after the Study Centre uploads them, and the timing of that is a Study Centre matter.
What Else MSCCHEM Learners Pick Up in the Same Order
Most learners ordering a handwritten set are working through a whole semester rather than a single code, and a few other things from the store tend to travel with it. Model answers for the same course codes sit in the store’s course-wise solved assignment hub, which is the right destination if what you want is a reference file to write from rather than a bundle to submit. Exam-side preparation for the same blocks lives among the master’s degree guess paper sets, which is a different product from either of the assignment lines and is aimed at the 70 per cent rather than the 30.
Learners who came into MSCCHEM from an IGNOU science degree often still need material for codes they are clearing alongside, and the chemistry papers of the undergraduate programmes have their own homes: the BSCM chemistry study books for the newer FYUP structure and the BSCG chemistry assignment section for the older one. Learners whose codes overlap with the environmental side of the fourth semester, MCH-023 in particular, sometimes want the fuller treatment in the M.Sc. Environmental Science book list or the matching MSCENV assignment section, since MEV-13 covers environmental chemistry from the other direction.
If your codes span more than one programme, or you hold a mix of current and backlog papers that does not fit a single programme product, the customised handwritten assignment product takes any combination at the same rate. The full range of programme-wise sets sits under the handwritten assignment section. And if you would rather write the set yourself, the step-by-step handwritten assignment guide on ignouproject.com covers the cover page, the margins and the submission routine free of charge, though note the paper-size caveat in the conflict box above. IGNOU’s own papers are always available from the official assignment download service, and every MSCCHEM booklet quoted on this page came from there.
What Chemistry Learners Check Before They Order
Should my MSCCHEM assignment be written on A4 or on foolscap?
Every MCH booklet opened for this page says foolscap. Instruction 2 on MCH-011, MCH-014 and MCH-016 all read the same way: use only foolscap size writing paper, but not of a very thin variety. Instruction 3 asks for a 4 cm margin on the left, top and bottom. This is unusual, because most IGNOU programmes specify A4 ruled sheets and most guidance sites, including the sister site ignouproject.com, repeat the A4 instruction. Your own School of Sciences booklet overrides all of that for your codes. Sets written by Shri Chakradhar Publication for MSCCHEM go on foolscap for exactly this reason. If your Study Centre coordinator tells you otherwise in writing, follow the coordinator.
Is there a handwritten assignment for MCHL-011 or any other chemistry lab code?
No. Eight laboratory codes run through the MSCCHEM structure, MCHL-011 to MCHL-019, carrying sixteen credits between them, and IGNOU’s own MSCCHEM assignment index carries no booklet for any of them. Those codes are assessed through the practical work your Study Centre arranges, not through a Tutor Marked Assignment. If a website offers you an MCHL solved or handwritten assignment for your session, there is no question paper behind it. Order handwritten sets only against the MCH and MCHE theory codes.
How many MCHE electives do I take in the fourth semester?
Three of the five. The Common Prospectus July 2026 lists MCHE-011 to MCHE-015 at 4 credits each with no selection note attached, but the credit arithmetic settles it: the first three semesters come to 60 credits, the fourth semester’s compulsory MCH-024, MCH-025 and MCHL-019 come to 8, and the stated programme total is 80, leaving room for exactly 12 elective credits. Taking all five would put the programme at 88. Confirm which three sit on your registration record before ordering, because the allotted set varies between learners.
Why does my MCH-016 booklet print MCH-011 in the assignment code?
Because the booklet carries a template error. The live MCH-016 paper, valid 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, prints Course Code: MCH-016 on one line and Assignment Code: MCH-011/TMA/2026-2027 on the next. The course code line is right and the assignment code line has the previous course’s prefix carried over. Do not copy it as printed onto your answer sheet. Write your own course code and ask your Study Centre coordinator which form of the assignment code they want to see.
What is the last date for the MSCCHEM assignment?
No MCH booklet prints one. What each prints is a twelve-month validity window, 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 on MCH-011 and 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 on MCH-016, plus an instruction to submit within the due date and a note that late answer sheets shall not be accepted. The School of Sciences leaves the date itself to your Study Centre. The various dates circulating online, 30 September, 31 March, 31 May and others, are drawn from other schools and do not apply to your codes. Read your booklet’s validity line and ask your Study Centre coordinator.
Should I take MCH-014 or MCH-015?
Whichever covers the subject you did not study at 10+2. The prospectus rule is that a learner who studied biology at 10+2 takes MCH-014 Mathematics for Chemists, and a learner who studied mathematics at 10+2 takes MCH-015 Biology for Chemists. The programme is filling the gap rather than repeating your strength. Both are 2-credit theory papers with a live booklet, and whichever appears on your record is a single unit at ₹320 like any other code.
Is the MSCCHEM paper the same as the M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry paper?
For the first year, on the evidence, yes. MSCCHEM and the Analytical Chemistry programme share the whole first year, MCH-011 to MCH-019 and MCHL-011 to MCHL-016, and IGNOU’s own assignment portal names its 2024 MCH-011 file for both programmes at once. The MCH-014 booklet cover names both as well. From the third semester the two diverge completely, with Analytical Chemistry moving to MCH-001 to MCH-004 while MSCCHEM continues into MCH-020 to MCH-025. Name your programme code alongside your course codes when ordering so the right paper is used.
Can I submit a printed copy of a solved assignment PDF instead?
The MCH booklets do not contemplate it. Instruction 2 tells you to write your answers on foolscap paper and instruction 6 tells you to submit the answer sheets at your Study Centre, both of which describe written pages. A solved assignment is a reference file to write from, not a submission. Several sellers offer a handwritten scanned PDF for MSCCHEM codes, and a scan is not a hard copy either. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU.
Is the MSCCHEM paper available in Hindi?
Not on the evidence available. The July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction for M.Sc. (Chemistry) as English, and every MCH booklet opened for this page is an English paper. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which on this programme resolves to English alone. If IGNOU issues a Hindi MCH paper for your session, send it and it will be written against.
What happens if I fail the assignment rather than miss it?
The MCH booklets treat both the same way. The paper is marked out of 100 and instruction 7 says 40 per cent of that is needed to pass, which is a threshold most IGNOU programmes do not print on the paper. If you fail it or fail to submit it inside the validity window, the instruction tells you to obtain the following year’s assignment and submit that, rather than resubmitting the same one. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent, so the paper is worth taking seriously on its own account.
My booklet expired in June. Can I still order against it?
Yes, and at the ordinary rate. This comes up often on MSCCHEM because IGNOU’s own SOS mirror is still serving an MCH-011 booklet whose validity ended on 30 June 2026, so learners are downloading expired papers in good faith. Shri Chakradhar Publication will write against whichever paper you send. Whether your Regional Centre will still accept it is a separate question and only they can answer it.
How many questions does an MCH paper actually contain?
It varies by credit weight, and the booklets are worth checking rather than assuming. The 4-credit MCH-011 and MCH-016 papers each print ten questions, split into parts a and b at 5 marks apiece, for 100 marks, with the note to attempt all questions. The 2-credit MCH-014 paper prints six questions with uneven marks, from 3 up to 10. The instruction line on MCH-011 and MCH-016 refers to solving Part A and Part B, though no Part A or Part B labels appear on the question pages themselves. Send your booklet and the set is written to the paper you hold.
Do you send the set to my Study Centre for me?
No. The bundle is couriered to your address and you carry it to the Study Centre yourself. That is deliberate. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course. Handing it over in person also means you can collect a submission receipt, which is worth having when marks are slow to appear on the grade card.
Can I order just one code, or do I have to take the whole semester?
One is fine. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. Learners commonly order two or three codes they are short of time on and write the rest themselves. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge, whether the order is one code or a full semester of theory papers.
When will it reach me?
Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. Older pages elsewhere on this store carry courier windows that were never commitments and are being removed. What you get instead is a specific confirmation for your own pin code, given before money changes hands, so you can judge it against your Study Centre’s date rather than against an average.
Where Every Figure on This Page Came From
From the Common Prospectus July 2026. The programme code MSCCHEM, the School of Sciences attribution, the 80-credit total, the four-semester structure, every course code and official title in the two tables above, the credit value against each, the Nature of Course column, the medium of instruction recorded as English, the eligibility conditions, and the MCH-014 and MCH-015 selection rule. The three-of-five elective conclusion is not printed in the prospectus; it is arithmetic performed on the prospectus table and checked against the stated total of 80, and it is labelled as such in the section above. The MCHL-013 title discrepancy was found by reading the MSCCHEM table against the M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry table printed on the facing page of the same document.
From live IGNOU assignment booklets. Three were opened for this page from ignou.ac.in and the official assignment portal: MCH-011 Inorganic Chemistry 1, valid 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, session label 2025-26; MCH-016 Inorganic Chemistry 2, valid 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, session label 2026-27; and MCH-014 Mathematics for Chemists, cover-dated 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025. The foolscap instruction, the 4 cm margin, the Study Centre submission route, the 100 marks and 40 per cent pass threshold, the three assignment-code formats, the MCH-016 code carry-over, the MCH-014 internal date contradiction, the question counts and the mark splits were all read off those three files. The absence of any MCHL booklet and the “Current Assignment” window still headed 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 were read off the official MSCCHEM assignment index.
From Shri Chakradhar Publication’s own commercial terms. The ₹320 per subject rate, the hard-copy-only format, courier included with no separate shipping charge, the free IGNOU-format cover sheet, the included copy of the question paper, the free handwriting match from a sample photo, the absence of a minimum order, and the refusal to name a delivery figure. These are the publisher’s terms, not IGNOU’s, and nothing in this paragraph should be read as a university rule.
