Description
In short. MSCBCH is the two-year, 80-credit Master of Science in Biochemistry that the School of Sciences runs in English only, and its written work sits in eleven MBC theory papers from MBC 001 Concepts of Biochemistry through MBC 011 Animal and Plant Tissue Culture, plus six MBCE electives numbered 012 to 017 of which a learner sits only four, two in each year; the three MBCL laboratory codes and the eight-credit MBCP 001 project carry no Tutor Marked Assignment booklet on IGNOU’s own MSCBCH index, so the written set you actually order runs to fifteen papers at most, and Shri Chakradhar Publication prepares any of them one course code at a time. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. Four live MSCBCH booklets were opened for this listing and every one of them instructs the learner to use foolscap size paper with a 4 cm margin, which is not what the general run of IGNOU assignment guidance says, so the set is written to the size your own booklet prints rather than to the size the internet assumes. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. Send the codes and their year to +91 93546 37830 and a rate comes back before anything else happens.
What Lands on Your Desk When the Courier Arrives
An MSCBCH order is a physical object, not a link. Each course code you name comes back as a separate written bundle, the pages tied rather than stapled through the middle, with a completed IGNOU-format cover sheet on the front and a printed copy of the official Tutor Marked Assignment paper for that code sitting behind it so the study centre coordinator can check the questions against the answers without opening a laptop. Nothing is emailed and nothing is uploaded to an account. No soft copy or PDF is sold.
The cover sheet is prepared free with every order and carries the fields the School of Sciences booklets ask for, which are not identical across the four papers read for this page. MBC-001 prints a block asking for roll number, name, address, course code, course title, assignment number and study centre. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 print a wider block that asks instead for enrolment number, programme title, course code, course title, assignment code, study centre, signature and date. The word “programme title” appears on three of the four and not on the first, and the phrase “assignment code” replaces “assignment number” on those same three. The front page supplied with your set follows whichever layout your own booklet prints, because the coordinator checks it against the booklet in front of them.
Foolscap Size, Not A4, and Why That Matters Here
This is the single instruction most likely to catch an MSCBCH learner out. Search almost any general guide to IGNOU assignments and it will tell you that A4 is standard, that foolscap is not accepted, and that anything other than a 210 by 297 millimetre sheet risks being turned away. The School of Sciences booklets for this programme say the opposite in plain words. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 each carry the instruction to use only foolscap size paper for your response and to tie all the pages carefully, to avoid very thin paper, to allow a 4 cm margin on the left and to leave at least four lines between each answer so the evaluator has room to write in the margin. MBC-001 phrases it slightly differently, asking for foolscap size writing paper but not of a very thin variety, and asking for a 4 cm margin on the left, the top and the bottom rather than the left alone.
So the four booklets agree on foolscap and disagree on how many sides get the margin. Shri Chakradhar Publication writes MSCBCH sets on foolscap and applies the wider three-sided margin, because a sheet that satisfies the stricter of the two instructions also satisfies the looser one. If your own study centre has issued a written notice asking for A4 instead, that notice is a local instruction from the people who will physically receive the bundle and it should be followed over anything on this page; say so when you order and the set is written to A4 at the same rate.
Everything Folded Into ₹320, and the Things That Are Not
The figure is per course code, not per programme and not per semester. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. Inside that number sit the writing itself, the foolscap stock, the IGNOU-format cover sheet, a printed copy of the question paper, the handwriting match described further down, and the courier to your address. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate.
What is not inside it is anything IGNOU controls. The university sets the questions, the study centre receives the bundle, and an evaluator you will never meet decides the score. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. Neither is a delivery date inside the price, because it is not a thing that can be honestly fixed in advance. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
One further exclusion is worth naming because MSCBCH learners ask about it often. The eight-credit MBCP 001 project is a research report with a supervisor, a synopsis and a viva behind it, and it is not an assignment. It is not written under this listing and not covered by the ₹320 figure. If that is what you need, the store keeps bound project reports posted as hard copy and, where the programme allows it, project files supplied as a soft copy in a separate part of the catalogue.
A Downloaded Answer File Is Not a Submission: Sorting Out the Two Products
Two different things share the word assignment on this store and MSCBCH learners routinely order the wrong one. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one course code and one session, downloaded and read on a screen. A handwritten assignment is those answers written out by hand on paper and handed in as a hard copy at your allotted study centre. The first is study material. The second is the submission.
IGNOU’s own wording on the MSCBCH papers settles the question of whether a downloaded file can be handed in. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 each instruct the learner to write the responses in their own handwriting and state directly that the answers should not be printed or typed. The same paragraph goes further and says not to copy the answers from the units and blocks the university sent you, advising that writing in your own words helps you grasp the study material. A separate numbered instruction states that copying from the response sheets of other students will cause the assignment to be rejected. A downloaded PDF, printed and submitted, fails the first of those instructions on its face.
| Question | Solved assignment | Handwritten assignment |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A soft-copy file of model answers for one MBC or MBCE code and one validity window | Those answers written by hand on foolscap and tied into a bundle |
| How it reaches you | Downloaded and read on a screen | Couriered to your address as a physical set |
| What you do with it | Read it, check it against your blocks, then write your own version | Attach the cover sheet and hand it to your study centre coordinator |
| Who it suits | A learner who will write but wants a worked reference for MBC 007 biostatistics or MBC 010 research ethics | A learner who has the understanding but not the hours of writing time |
| Rate on this store | Priced separately in the solved assignment section | ₹320 per subject, courier included |

If a reference file is what you actually want rather than a written bundle, the right place to go is the master’s degree solved assignment section, where the material is arranged by programme and course code. That section is where the store sells soft copies. This listing does not sell one and does not imply that a downloaded file can be submitted in place of a written set.

The Eleven MBC Theory Papers That Carry a Written TMA
MSCBCH is laid out semester by semester in the Common Prospectus for July 2026, with four courses in each of the four semesters plus an elective pair in each year. The credit column adds to exactly 80, and that figure was checked rather than accepted: sixteen credits in each of the four semesters is sixty-four, and two elective pairs at eight credits each is sixteen, which lands on the eighty the prospectus prints at the foot of the table. The eleven MBC codes below are the theory core, and every one of them is a paper Shri Chakradhar Publication can write.
| Code | Official title | Nature as printed | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBC 001 | Concepts of Biochemistry (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 002 | Cell and Molecular Biology (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 003 | Bioanalytical Techniques (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBCL 001 | Biochemistry Lab I (Core) | Lab | 4 |
| MBC 004 | Enzymes and their applications (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 005 | Concepts and connections in metabolism (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 006 | Recombinant DNA Technology and its applications (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBCL 002 | Biochemistry Lab II | Lab | 4 |
| MBC 007 | Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 008 | Genetics and Evolutionary Biology (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 009 | Clinical Biochemistry (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBCL 003 | Biochemistry Lab III (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 010 | Research methodology (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBC 011 | Animal and Plant tissue culture (Core) | Theory | 4 |
| MBCP 001 | Project | Project | 8 |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
Two oddities in that table are the prospectus speaking, not a transcription slip, and they are reproduced exactly as printed. MBCL 003 Biochemistry Lab III is typed in the nature column as Theory while MBCL 001 and MBCL 002, which sit under the same MBCL prefix and carry the same four credits, are typed as Lab. And MBCL 002 Biochemistry Lab II is the only laboratory code on the list that is not marked “(Core)”, although it is compulsory in exactly the way the other two are. Neither variation changes what you have to do; both are worth knowing before you assume a printed table is authoritative about which of your codes will produce a written paper.
Six MBCE Electives, of Which You Sit Only Four
The elective structure is where MSCBCH departs from the shape most IGNOU master’s programmes take, and it is the reason a code list copied from a friend is a poor guide to your own order. The prospectus prints three electives against each year and marks them “any two in a year”. Six codes exist. You sit four. Which four is a choice you made at registration, and two learners in the same intake will hold different sets.
| Code | Official title | Year offered | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBCE 012 | Plant Biochemistry | First year, choose any two of three | 4 |
| MBCE 013 | Human Physiology | First year, choose any two of three | 4 |
| MBCE 014 | Microbiology | First year, choose any two of three | 4 |
| MBCE 015 | Immunology and immunological techniques | Second year, choose any two of three | 4 |
| MBCE 016 | Toxicology | Second year, choose any two of three | 4 |
| MBCE 017 | OMICS | Second year, choose any two of three | 4 |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
There is a further wrinkle on the live side. IGNOU’s own MSCBCH assignment index page currently lists booklets for MBCE-013 and MBCE-014 but not for MBCE-012, so a learner who chose Plant Biochemistry as one of their first-year pair will not find their paper on the page their programme points them to. That does not mean the paper does not exist; it means the index is incomplete. Send the code anyway and it will be traced.
Three Lab Codes and One Project That Carry No Written Paper
MBCL 001, MBCL 002 and MBCL 003 together account for twelve of the eighty credits and none of them appears as a Tutor Marked Assignment booklet on the MSCBCH index. Neither does MBCP 001. Laboratory work in a biochemistry master’s is assessed through the practical route rather than through a written response sheet, and the project is assessed as a report. The practical consequence is that a learner counting fifteen registered codes and expecting fifteen written papers has over-counted by four. The maximum written set for a full MSCBCH run is eleven MBC theory papers plus the four MBCE electives you actually sit, which is fifteen bundles across two years, and most learners order a semester’s worth at a time.
Four Booklets, Three Programme Titles and a Course Name Borrowed From the Wrong Paper
Four live MSCBCH assignment booklets were opened while this listing was written, read against each other and read against the prospectus. They do not agree. What follows is every disagreement found, disclosed rather than quietly reconciled, because a learner who knows a document is inconsistent can ask the right question at their study centre, and a learner who does not cannot.
Disagreements found in IGNOU’s own MSCBCH documents, and one found on this store.
1. The MBC-004 booklet names three different courses in one file. The cover reads Enzymes and their Applications, which matches the prospectus title for MBC-004. The opening letter says the assignment is for the course Cell and Molecular Biology, which is MBC-002 and a first-semester paper. The assignment page itself is headed Bioanalytical Techniques, which is MBC-003. The questions underneath are enzymology, so the cover is the one telling the truth. The same “Cell and Molecular Biology, first semester core course” sentence also appears on the MBC-002 and MBC-003 booklets, which is how the error can be traced: it is correct on MBC-002 and was carried forward onto the two papers that follow it.
2. The programme title is spelled three ways across four covers. MBC-001 prints “M.Sc in Biochemistry (MSCBCH)” with no full stop after Sc. MBC-004 and MBC-005 print “M.Sc. in Biochemistry (MSCBCH)”. MBC-010 prints “Masters Degree in BIOCHEMISTRY (MSCBCH)”.
3. Three assignment code formats coexist inside one programme and one school. MBC-001 carries MBC-001/TMA/2026, a single calendar year. MBC-004 and MBC-005 carry MBC-004/TMA/2025 and MBC-005/TMA/2025, also a single year but a different one. MBC-010 carries MBC-010/TMA/2025-26, a two-year span.
4. The validity windows do not line up either. MBC-001 is valid from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026. MBC-004 and MBC-005 are valid from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. MBC-010 is valid from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2026, an eighteen-month span straddling both.
5. Instruction 10 on the MBC-004 and MBC-005 booklets contains a circular error. It states that if you fail the assignment or fail to submit it by December 2025 you must obtain the assignment for the year 2025, which is the same year that has just expired. The intent is plainly the following year’s paper.
6. Two booklets disagree on whether lateness alone disqualifies a submission. MBC-004 and MBC-005 state that assignments submitted at any other place and after the due date will not be evaluated. MBC-010 drops the lateness clause and says only that assignments submitted at any other place will not be evaluated. MBC-001 states separately that answer sheets received after the due date shall not be accepted.
7. The question pattern differs between papers of the same programme. MBC-001 prints ten questions of equal weight with no part division and the instruction to answer all of them. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 each split into Part A worth 50 marks and Part B worth 50. Within that, MBC-004 numbers its Part B questions 6 to 10 continuing from Part A, while MBC-010 restarts Part B at question 1.
8. IGNOU’s own MSCBCH assignment index lists seven codes: MBC-001, MBC-002, MBC-003, MBCE-013, MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBCE-014, all 2025 files. Live booklets exist for MBC-006 and MBC-010 on other IGNOU paths, and a 2026 MBC-001 booklet exists that the index does not point to. The index is therefore both incomplete and a session behind.
9. Third-party assignment sites describe the MSCBCH 2026-27 session as valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, the July-to-June academic year most IGNOU programmes use. IGNOU’s own MSCBCH booklets do not use that year. They print calendar-year windows. Treat the aggregator dates as wrong for this programme.
10. Aggregators also render the codes as MBC 1, MBC 10, MBCE 12 and so on. IGNOU prints MBC 001, MBC 010 and MBCE 012 with three digits. Search either way, but write the three-digit form on your response sheet.
11. An in-house one, disclosed because withholding it would be the weaker position. The handwritten category page on this store currently describes assignments as written on A4 sheets. That is right for most IGNOU programmes and wrong for MSCBCH, whose School of Sciences booklets ask for foolscap. That page is queued for correction.
Why Your Booklet Prints a Validity Window Instead of a Last Date
MSCBCH learners searching for an assignment last date usually come back empty-handed, and the reason is structural rather than an oversight. No MSCBCH booklet read for this listing prints a submission deadline at all. What each one prints instead is a validity window: a first date from which the paper may be answered and a last date after which that particular paper is dead and a newer one must be obtained. MBC-001 runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026. MBC-004 and MBC-005 ran from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. MBC-010 runs from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2026.
This is a genuine difference between schools and not a variant of the same thing. Programmes under the School of Management Studies print a pair of hard cut-offs, one for each intake, and a learner in those programmes plans around a fixed date. An MSCBCH learner does not have one to plan around. What they have instead is a window and a study centre. MBC-001 says the answer sheets are to be submitted to your study centre as per the schedule made by the study centre, which places the operative date in the hands of the centre rather than in the booklet.
The practical instruction that follows from this is short. Ask your study centre coordinator, in writing, for the date they are working to for the codes you hold, and get it before you plan any writing. The window on the booklet tells you which paper is still alive. It does not tell you when your centre stops accepting it. Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment.
One more line on the booklets carries real weight and appears on all four. You cannot fill the examination form for a course until you have submitted that assignment. That turns the written set from something worth doing into something that gates the exam itself, and it is the reason a backlogged MBC code left unwritten quietly blocks a term-end sitting a year later.
What MBC-001/TMA/2026 Tells You That MBC-010/TMA/2025-26 Does Not
The assignment code is the string the coordinator matches against their own list, and on MSCBCH it is the fastest way to establish whether you are holding the right paper. It has three or four parts. The course code comes first, then TMA to mark it as tutor marked, then the year the paper belongs to. On MBC-001 that year is a single figure, 2026, and it means the paper is the calendar-2026 edition. On MBC-010 the tail is 2025-26, a span, and it means the paper covers an eighteen-month period. Both are current. Neither is a typographical error.
The MBC-004 and MBC-010 booklets both tell you that you may reproduce the course code and the assignment code straight from the assignment paper onto the top of your first response sheet, which is the safest way to get them right. MBC-010 goes further and prescribes the layout: enrolment number, name, full address, signature and date in the top right corner, and programme title, course code, course title, assignment code and study centre name in the left corner. Every set written by Shri Chakradhar Publication is headed in that layout, copied from the booklet supplied with the order.
Before you send codes across, read them off your own re-registration record rather than from a study group. Electives are the place this goes wrong on MSCBCH: a learner who took MBCE 015 and MBCE 017 in the second year and a friend who took MBCE 016 and MBCE 017 share only one paper between them.
Your Own Hand, Copied From a Photo You Send
A biochemistry set that arrives in a stranger’s handwriting is conspicuous in a way that helps nobody, particularly where a learner has already submitted work in earlier semesters. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. The match covers letterforms, slant, spacing and the general density of the line rather than pretending to be a forgery, and it is applied across every code in the same order so a four-paper bundle reads as one person’s work.
MSCBCH carries a demand most programmes do not. MBC-001 closes with a note asking the learner to draw the figures, flowcharts and tables wherever required, and the questions across MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 ask for derivations, plots and pathway schematics by name: the Hanes-Woolf and Eadie-Hofstee plots on MBC-004, the Krebs cycle schematic and the saturated fatty acid biosynthesis pathway on MBC-005, the Latin square design on MBC-010. Those are drawn by hand in the same ink as the prose, ruled where a plot needs axes, and labelled. They are not printed and pasted in.
The Sample Page That Costs You Nothing
Order of operations matters here, so it is stated plainly. You send one photograph of your own handwriting on WhatsApp. A sample page in that hand comes back to you. You look at it. Only then does any payment happen. The risk of paying for a hand that turns out not to resemble yours is removed by putting the sample before the money rather than after it, and there is no charge for the sample whether you go ahead or not.
English Only, Any Year, Backlogs Included
The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. On MSCBCH that clause resolves to one paper rather than a choice, because the Common Prospectus for July 2026 records the medium of instruction for this programme as English, and every live booklet opened for this listing was the English file. There is no Hindi MBC paper to ask for. Learners moving across from a Hindi-medium bachelor’s programme should expect to answer in English from the first semester.
Session coverage is broader than the current cycle and always has been. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. This matters more on MSCBCH than elsewhere because of the validity windows: a learner who missed MBC-004 during its 2025 window now needs the newer edition of that paper, not the 2025 one, and identifying which edition applies is part of the work rather than something you have to resolve before ordering. Send the code and the year you are answering for and the correct edition is traced.
The Short List of Things Shri Chakradhar Publication Needs From You
Ordering is deliberately thin. Five items settle an MSCBCH order and nothing beyond them is asked for.
- Your course codes, in the three-digit form. MBC 007, not MBC 7. Read them off your re-registration record, and include the MBCE electives you actually chose rather than all six.
- The year or window the papers belong to. Copy the validity line from the booklet if you have it open, or say which intake you are in and it will be worked out.
- One photo of your own handwriting. A single page of ordinary writing on any paper is enough. Better light beats better penmanship.
- Enrolment number, name and study centre. These go on the cover sheet, which is prepared free with every order.
- A full postal address with the pin code. The pin code is what the courier window is worked out from, and the confirmed window comes back to you before you pay.
Nothing else is required. No account is created, no card is stored, and there is no form on this page to fill in.

Once the Packet Is in Your Hands
The bundle arrives written, tied and covered, and there are four things left that only you can do.
Read it. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course. On a biochemistry paper that is not a formality: if a metabolic scheme on MBC-005 or a statistical design on MBC-010 does not match how your own blocks present it, that is worth raising before the bundle goes in rather than after the score comes back.
Check the cover sheet against your record. Enrolment number, programme code, course code and study centre code all have to match what IGNOU holds, and a single transposed digit in an enrolment number is the most common reason a correctly written set goes astray in the system.
Hand it to the right person. The MSCBCH booklets are specific about this. The completed assignment goes to the coordinator of the study centre allotted to you, and papers submitted at any other place will not be evaluated. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 add that if you have requested a change of study centre you should keep submitting to the original centre until the university notifies the change.
Collect the acknowledgement. Three of the four booklets instruct the learner to obtain an acknowledgement from the coordinator on the prescribed assignment remittance-cum-acknowledgement card after submitting, and to keep a copy of the answer sheets. That card is the only proof of submission you will hold if the online status page lags, which it routinely does.
Where MSCBCH Learners Go Next on This Store
Most orders that start with one MSCBCH code end up touching two or three other parts of the catalogue, so they are set out here rather than left to a search box. If you are ordering across several programmes at once, the handwritten assignment hub that covers every programme is the general entry point and carries the same rate.
For reading rather than submitting, soft-copy answer files sorted by course code sit in their own section, and a printed answer book covering all programmes exists for learners who prefer paper reference to a screen. Closer to exam week, the master’s guess paper shelf is where the question-pattern material lives.
A surprising number of MSCBCH learners still hold an open bachelor’s biochemistry code, because the eligibility route into this programme runs through B.Sc. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry and the life sciences. If that applies, the BSCBCH guide books cover the honours syllabus, with BSCBCH answer files and BSCBCH guess papers alongside them.
And where codes span more than one programme, or an old cycle needs an open-ended order, a single open-ended handwritten order for any code and any cycle handles the mixed case without splitting it across listings. There is no MSCBCH article on the sister property yet; the nearest School of Sciences treatment of the same paper-size question is the ignouproject.com write-up on BSCM handwritten assignments, which is the place to start if you would rather write the set yourself.
What Biochemistry Learners Ask Before They Pay
Should an MSCBCH assignment be written on A4 or foolscap?
Foolscap, if you are going by the booklet. All four MSCBCH papers read for this listing instruct the learner to use foolscap size paper, and MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 add that the pages should be tied and very thin paper avoided. That runs against the general advice circulating for IGNOU assignments, which almost uniformly says A4. Where a study centre has issued its own written instruction, follow the centre; otherwise follow the booklet in your hand.
What is the last date to submit an MSCBCH assignment?
The booklets do not print one. They print a validity window instead, and it differs by paper: 1 January to 31 December 2026 on MBC-001, the same span in 2025 on MBC-004 and MBC-005, and 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2026 on MBC-010. MBC-001 states that answer sheets go to the study centre as per the schedule the study centre makes, which is where the operative date actually lives. Ask your coordinator for it in writing.
Can I print a downloaded MSCBCH solved assignment and submit that?
The booklets say no in as many words. MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 each instruct the learner to write the responses in their own handwriting and state that the answers should not be printed or typed. A soft-copy file is a reference to write from, not a submission. If a reference file is what you want, it is sold separately in the solved assignment section rather than on this listing.
What is the difference between the solved assignment and the handwritten assignment on this store?
Format and purpose. The solved assignment is a soft-copy file of model answers you download and read. The handwritten assignment is those answers written out by hand on foolscap, tied, covered and couriered to you as a hard copy for submission. The first helps you write; the second is the thing that gets handed in. This listing sells only the second.
Do MBCL 001, MBCL 002 and MBCL 003 have handwritten assignments?
No Tutor Marked Assignment booklet for any of the three MBCL laboratory codes appears on IGNOU’s MSCBCH assignment index, and none was found on the other IGNOU paths searched. Laboratory work is assessed through the practical route rather than a written response sheet. The same is true of the eight-credit MBCP 001 project, which is a research report with its own process.
My MBC-004 booklet says the assignment is for Cell and Molecular Biology. Is it the wrong file?
The file is right; the sentence is wrong. The MBC-004 cover reads Enzymes and their Applications, the questions are enzymology, and the opening letter carries a paragraph copied forward from the MBC-002 booklet where “Cell and Molecular Biology, the first semester core course” is accurate. The assignment page inside the same file is separately headed Bioanalytical Techniques, which belongs to MBC-003. Answer the questions printed; ignore the two stray titles.
Why does my assignment code end in 2026 when my friend’s ends in 2025-26?
Because MSCBCH runs two code formats at once. MBC-001 issues as MBC-001/TMA/2026, a single calendar year. MBC-010 issues as MBC-010/TMA/2025-26, an eighteen-month span. Both are current School of Sciences papers. Copy whichever string your own booklet prints onto your response sheet rather than normalising it to match somebody else’s.
Is the MSCBCH paper available in Hindi?
Not as far as anything published shows. The Common Prospectus for July 2026 records the medium of instruction for MSCBCH as English, and every live MSCBCH booklet opened for this page was the English file. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which on this programme means the single English paper.
I have a backlogged MBCE elective from an earlier year. Can that still be written?
Yes. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. On MSCBCH the thing to establish first is which edition of the paper is currently alive, because the older booklet inside its expired window is no longer the one to answer. Send the code and the year and the live edition is traced before writing starts.
How many MSCBCH papers do I actually have to write across the degree?
Fifteen at most. Eleven MBC theory codes carry a written paper, and you sit four of the six MBCE electives, two in each year. The three MBCL laboratory codes and MBCP 001 do not produce a written assignment. Learners counting from the twenty-one code entries in the prospectus table usually over-estimate by six.
Why can I not find MBCE-012 on the IGNOU assignment page?
The MSCBCH index currently lists seven codes and MBCE-012 Plant Biochemistry is not among them, although MBCE-013 and MBCE-014 are. The index is also a session behind: it points at 2025 files while a 2026 MBC-001 booklet is live elsewhere on ignou.ac.in. An absent listing is an index gap, not a confirmation that no paper exists. Send the code and it will be looked for.
How many marks does an MSCBCH assignment carry and what is the pass mark?
Each paper is out of 100 and all four booklets read state that 35 per cent of that is needed to pass it. Against the course as a whole, assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. Each of the four also warns that the examination form for a course stays closed to you until that paper has gone in.
How long should the answers be?
MBC-010 is the only one of the four that prints a word guide, and it is worth borrowing: a 2-mark question takes about 50 words, a 5-mark question about 100, and a 10-mark question 250 to 300. MBC-001 splits its ten questions into 5-mark halves; MBC-004, MBC-005 and MBC-010 run 10-mark items across two 50-mark parts. Sets written here are sized to those guides rather than padded.
When will the packet reach me?
Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. The window comes back to you in the same WhatsApp thread as the handwriting sample, and it is a confirmed window for your address rather than a headline figure that applies to nobody in particular.
Will the assignment be accepted and what marks will it get?
No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. What is within this service’s control is that the set is written by hand in your matched handwriting, on the paper size your booklet asks for, with the cover sheet and question paper attached.
The Three Sources Behind Every Figure on This Page
Three separate kinds of source sit behind this listing and they are kept apart deliberately, because they carry different authority and change at different speeds.
The IGNOU Common Prospectus, July 2026. Section 3.59 supplied every course code, official title, nature and credit figure in the two tables above, along with the School of Sciences attribution, the English medium of instruction, the two-year minimum and four-year maximum duration and the eligibility routes. The credit column was added independently and reaches 80, matching the total the prospectus prints. Titles are reproduced with the prospectus’s own capitalisation, including “Enzymes and their applications” and “Research methodology”, rather than tidied.
Live Tutor Marked Assignment booklets on ignou.ac.in. Four were opened and read in full: MBC-001 for 2026, MBC-004 and MBC-005 for 2025, and MBC-010 for the 2025 to 2026 span. Everything on this page about paper size, margins, assignment code formats, validity windows, question patterns, marks, the pass threshold, submission routing and the acknowledgement card comes from those four documents and from the MSCBCH assignment index page, not from a secondary site. Where the four disagreed, the disagreement is printed in the box above rather than resolved silently.
