IGNOU MGPS Handwritten Assignment: Every MGP and MGPE Code, ₹320 Per Subject

What Lands on Your Desk When the Parcel Opens

A Gandhi and Peace Studies order is measured in codes, not in semesters, because the second year lets one learner take MGPE-017 Project Work while another takes two more four-credit papers instead. Each code you name becomes one physical bundle inside the parcel, and each bundle holds the same four things.

• The written answers. Longhand on A4, one code per set, following the section split the MGP or MGPE paper actually prints rather than a house template.
• An IGNOU-format cover sheet. Prepared free with every set, with the enrolment and study-centre fields left open for you to fill and sign.
• A copy of the official question paper. The same TMA sheet the answers were written against, so the evaluator can see the pairing without you having to print anything.
• Nothing electronic. There is no download link in the box and none is emailed afterwards.

The bundles arrive stapled separately rather than bound together, because a Gandhi and Peace Studies learner frequently submits across two visits: the four MGP codes go in on one trip and the MGPE codes on another, once the elective registration settles. Splitting them at the packing stage saves you unpicking staples at the study centre counter.

Inside the ₹320 Line, and What Sits Outside It

The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. That figure is per course code, so a learner clearing the full eight-code first-year block pays eight times ₹320 and a learner catching up on MGPE-011 alone pays once.

Four things sit inside the figure and are worth naming, because competing services routinely bill them as extras. The cover sheet is one. The question-paper copy is the second. The courier is the third. The handwriting match is the fourth: send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge.

Two things sit outside it. The first is anything electronic, for the reason already given. The second is a promise about when the parcel lands. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. A Ranchi pin code and a Port Blair pin code do not behave the same way and pretending otherwise would be a claim rather than a fact.

One more exclusion deserves its own line. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. That is not modesty; the study centre coordinator who marks an MGPE-010 script has no relationship with this publisher, and any figure quoted here would be invented.

Reference File or Submission Copy: Telling the Two Apart

Learners searching for Gandhi and Peace Studies material meet two products with confusingly similar names, and picking the wrong one costs a submission cycle. The distinction is worth stating plainly on first mention.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session. You read it, understand how a 500-word answer on Bhoodan or on incompatibility analysis is structured, and then write your own script from it. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on A4 and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. One is study input; the other is the thing that physically crosses the counter.

The booklet settles the question of what actually gets submitted. The 2025-2026 Gandhi and Peace Studies paper instructs that all assignments have to be submitted to the Coordinator of your Study Centre, that you should obtain a receipt for the assignments submitted and retain it, and that the Study Centre returns the evaluated scripts to you. A file on a phone cannot be handed to a coordinator and cannot come back with marks written on it. A downloaded PDF is a reference to write from; it is not a submission, and nothing on this page should be read as suggesting one can be handed in as it stands.

Every MGP Code in the Compulsory First-Year Block

The Common Prospectus for July 2026 lists the first year as eight courses of four credits each, thirty-two credits in total, with no selection instruction attached. Every one of the eight is compulsory. This catches people out, because four of them carry the MGPE prefix and learners reasonably assume the E stands for elective. In the first year of this programme it does not.

Note the numbering. The series runs MGP-001 to MGP-005 and then MGPE-006 to MGPE-017 without a break, so there is no MGPE-001 and no MGP-006. The prefix changes at six but the count does not restart. If a search for MGPE-001 returns nothing, that is why.

Note also the padding. The prospectus prints these unpadded, as MGP 1 and MGPE 6. The live assignment booklets and the term-end question papers pad them to three digits, as MGP-001 and MGPE-006. Both refer to the same course. Quote whichever form appears on your own record and the right paper will be pulled; the printed material for these codes is stocked under the MA Gandhi and Peace Studies help book and study guide range if you want the reading behind the answers as well.

Second-Year Papers, and the Choice That Is Not Really a Choice

The second year opens with one compulsory paper, MGP-005 Introduction to Peace and Conflict Resolution at four credits, and then instructs the learner to choose only twenty-eight credits from the pool below. Read the pool arithmetic before assuming you have a decision to make.

The seven four-credit papers in the pool total exactly twenty-eight credits. So a learner who does not take the project has no elective freedom at all: taking twenty-eight credits from a set worth twenty-eight credits means taking every one of them. Choice only exists in the other direction. The prospectus footnote states that Project Work is optional and may be taken up in lieu of two four-credit courses, so opting into MGPE-017 is what drops two papers off your list, and the credits still land on sixty-four.

Check the arithmetic yourself rather than taking it on trust. Thirty-two first-year credits, plus four for MGP-005, plus twenty-eight from the pool, is sixty-four, which is the total the prospectus states. Substituting the eight-credit project for two four-credit papers leaves the total unchanged.

MGPE-017 sits outside a handwritten assignment order entirely. It is a dissertation on a human security or peacebuilding theme, not a five-question TMA, and it is handled through the MGPS project report and synopsis service for MGPE-017 rather than here. That leaves sixteen MGPS codes that do carry a Tutor Marked Assignment, and those sixteen are what this product covers.

Five Names IGNOU Uses for One Gandhi and Peace Studies Programme

Everything below was found by reading IGNOU’s own documents against each other. None of it is a complaint about the university; large open universities accumulate this kind of drift and the practical answer is to know which document you are holding.

The practical consequence for an order is small but real: quote the code exactly as your admission record prints it and say which of the names your record uses. The parallel diploma and certificate routes run on the same course codes, so if your record reads PGDGPS rather than the full master’s programme, or the shorter PGCGPS certificate route, the same MGP and MGPE papers apply and the same rate holds.

The Dates Printed on the Modular Booklet, and the Dates Circulating Elsewhere

Read the two dates off the booklet cover rather than off any summary, including this one. The 2025-2026 Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet prints its submission schedule as March 31, 2026 for the July 2025 session and September 30, 2026 for the January 2026 session, with the assignments to be handed to the Coordinator of the Study Centre allotted to you.

That arrangement is worth pausing on because it is the reverse of the pattern most learners have heard. Management Studies programmes run 31 October for the July session and 30 April for January. Gandhi and Peace Studies runs 31 March for the July session and 30 September for January. A learner who carries the management calendar across, or who reads a general IGNOU news page rather than their own booklet, will aim at the wrong month by roughly half a year.

Two further cautions. First, the year in the date matters as much as the day: a 2025-2026 booklet prints 2026 dates, and the paper is replaced each cycle, so an answer written against last cycle’s questions is not a valid submission however neatly it is written. Second, IGNOU has repeatedly extended these deadlines by notification in recent cycles, which is a reason to submit early rather than a reason to plan around an extension.

Behind the deadline sits the weighting that makes it matter. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. Missing the date does not cost you thirty marks in isolation; it removes the course from the term-end examination roll until the next cycle.

What MGPE-007/ASST/TMA/2025-26 Is Telling You

Every MGP and MGPE paper prints an assignment code above the questions, and it is not decoration. Read it in four parts.

• MGPE-007 is the course code, zero-padded to three digits in the booklet even where the prospectus leaves it unpadded.
• ASST marks it as an assignment. This segment is specific to the Gandhi and Peace Studies papers among the programmes handled here; the Management Studies codes run straight from course code to TMA with nothing between them.
• TMA is Tutor Marked Assignment, the continuous-evaluation component that the study centre coordinator marks.
• 2025-26 is the validity span. It is a two-year academic span rather than a single year with a session name attached, which is why one booklet covers both the July and the January intake and prints two dates.

The question pattern is consistent across the papers read for this page. Each carries 100 marks. The instruction is to answer five questions in all, selecting at least two questions from each section, with each answer running to about 500 words and each question carrying 20 marks. Section I is five long questions. Section II is five short-note questions, each split into parts a and b of roughly 250 words apiece, so a single Section II answer is two separate notes. On MGPE-010 that means paired notes on subjects as far apart as the Champaran case study and the reconstruction of Afghanistan sitting under one question number.

Quote the assignment code when you order. It removes every ambiguity about session at a stroke, and it is the fastest way to confirm that the paper in hand and the paper on the portal are the same document.

Your Own Hand, Copied From a Photo You Send

Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. The writer studies the sample before beginning, and one writer takes the whole order so that a first-year block of eight MGP and MGPE codes reads as one continuous hand rather than as eight different people.

What Makes a Usable Sample Photo

Half a page of ordinary writing is enough, and ordinary is the operative word. Copy out a paragraph from your MGP-002 block at the speed you would actually write an assignment, on lined or plain paper, in the pen you normally use. Photograph it flat, in daylight, with the whole sheet in frame. What is not useful is a carefully drawn specimen: writing produced slowly for a photograph does not resemble writing produced at pace across a 500-word answer, and matching to the slow version produces a set that looks wrong next to your signature on the cover sheet.

The sample is looked at and a return sample is sent back on WhatsApp before any amount is paid. You compare the two and decide. That sequence exists so the judgement about whether the match is good enough is yours and is made before money changes hands.

English, Hindi and Older Cycles at One Rate

The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. Gandhi and Peace Studies is taught in English and Hindi, the prospectus states both as the medium of instruction, and IGNOU issues the TMA papers accordingly. A mixed order is ordinary: learners regularly take MGP-002 and MGP-003 in Hindi and MGPE-015 Introduction to Research Methods in English, and the rate does not move.

Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Backlogs are common in this programme for a structural reason worth naming. Because the second-year pool has no real elective freedom unless the project is taken, a learner who registers for MGPE-017 and later withdraws from it has to pick up two four-credit papers late, often a full cycle behind the rest of their year. Those two papers are backlog work by definition, and they are priced identically to current-cycle work.

The online-mode route is treated the same way. IGNOU publishes separate assignment files for the online variant of this programme, and this store keeps a parallel MAGPSOL book and study material range for the online-mode programme. Say which mode you are registered under and the matching paper is used.

What to Put in the First WhatsApp Message

Five details settle an order. Anything beyond them is unnecessary and no personal document is asked for.

1. Your course codes. Written as your record prints them, padded or unpadded. For example MGP-004, MGPE-006, MGPE-014.
2. The session. July or January, and the year. If you have the booklet, the assignment code such as MGPE-007/ASST/TMA/2025-26 replaces this entirely.
3. The medium. English or Hindi, per code if the set is mixed.
4. Your handwriting sample. One photo, as described above.
5. The delivery pin code. Used to confirm the courier route and timing for your specific order before anything is paid.

Your enrolment number is not needed, your registration password is not needed, and nothing is asked that would let anyone act on your IGNOU account. The cover sheet arrives with those fields blank for you to complete in your own hand.

Once the Courier Hands the Packet Over

Three steps sit between the parcel arriving and the marks appearing, and all three are yours.

Complete and sign the cover sheet. Enrolment number, name, address, programme code, course code, study centre code and date go in your own hand. The declaration above your signature is a statement that the work represents your understanding, so read the script before you sign it. On this programme that reading matters more than usual: the Section II short notes assume the block material, and a learner who has read the MGP-003 units will spot immediately if a note has drifted from what the course actually taught.

Submit to the Coordinator of your Study Centre and take the receipt. The booklet is explicit that a receipt should be obtained and retained, and that a copy of the assignment should be kept if possible. The receipt is the only evidence you hold if the status portal is slow to update.

Then wait, and check. The Study Centre notes the marks and forwards them to the Student Evaluation Division, and the booklet asks you to insist on having the evaluated scripts returned. Status updates typically lag submission by several weeks. If the status has not moved after a reasonable interval, the receipt and the Regional Centre are the route, not a second submission.

What Gandhi and Peace Studies Learners Add to the Same Order

Handwritten sets are one line item among several that this programme tends to need in the same term. The handwritten assignment range across every IGNOU programme is the place to start if you are also ordering for a family member on a different degree, since the rate and the process do not change between programmes.

For term-end preparation rather than submission, the MGPS solved guess papers built from previous term-end questions work on the exam side, which is a genuinely separate problem from the assignment: the December 2023 MGP-001 paper ran to fifty marks in two hours, against a TMA worth a hundred marks with no clock on it at all. The two demand different preparation.

Learners registered on the shorter routes frequently order alongside master’s learners, since the reading overlaps almost completely. The PGDGPS diploma help books and the PGCGPS certificate study material draw on the same MGP and MGPE blocks the master’s programme uses. And where a printed reference set for several programmes at once is what you actually want, the bound solved assignment book covering any programme and session is the hard-copy version of that idea.

Questions That Come Up Before an MGPS Order Is Placed

How many MGPS course codes actually need a handwritten assignment?

Sixteen. The eight compulsory first-year codes, MGP-005 in the second year, and the seven four-credit papers in the second-year pool all carry a Tutor Marked Assignment. MGPE-017 is Project Work worth eight credits and carries no TMA, so seventeen codes exist in the programme and sixteen of them are assignment work.

My record says MAGPS but the prospectus says MGPS. Which one am I enrolled in?

The same one. IGNOU prints this programme as MGPS in the Common Prospectus, MAGPS on the assignment booklet cover, MGP on the term-end question paper header, and MGPSOL or MAGPSOL for the online-mode variant. The course codes are identical across all of them, so quote whichever your record uses and the correct paper is pulled.

Is the MGPS assignment last date 31 October like other IGNOU programmes?

Not according to the booklet. The 2025-2026 Gandhi and Peace Studies paper prints March 31, 2026 for the July 2025 session and September 30, 2026 for the January 2026 session. The 31 October date belongs to the School of Management Studies programmes, and at least one MGPS-specific website is currently reprinting it against this programme. Read the date off the booklet you downloaded, not off a summary.

Can I submit a downloaded MGP solved assignment PDF at the study centre?

No. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers; it is something to write from, not something to hand in. The booklet directs assignments to the Coordinator of the Study Centre with a receipt taken and the evaluated scripts returned afterwards, which is a paper process end to end.

Will a typed MGPE assignment be rejected?

That is a decision for your study centre and this publisher cannot answer for it. What can be said is that IGNOU’s assignment instructions ask for answers written in your own words on paper and submitted to the coordinator, and that the entire evaluation route assumes a physical script. That is the reason a hard copy is what is prepared here. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU.

Why does the MGPE-007 file contain MGPE-008, MGPE-010 and MGPE-011 as well?

Because IGNOU publishes the Gandhi and Peace Studies papers as a modular bundle and serves the same bundle under more than one course filename. Downloading what looks like the MGPE-007 paper gives you four courses. The corollary is that a code missing from that bundle, such as MGP-004, has its own separate single-course file elsewhere on the portal.

My MGP-004 paper prints no submission date at all. Have I got the wrong file?

Probably not. The MGP-004 English file is published as a bare single-course sheet with the questions and the assignment code but no cover page and no schedule. The dates appear on the modular booklet cover instead. Take the schedule from that booklet and confirm it with your Regional Centre.

If I take MGPE-017 Project Work, which two papers drop off?

Whichever two you choose. The prospectus states that Project Work is optional and may be taken up in lieu of two four-credit courses, so the eight project credits replace eight credits of coursework from the second-year pool. That decision belongs with your Programme Coordinator, not with this publisher, and it is worth confirming in writing before you stop preparing for a paper.

Can I order a Hindi set for some codes and English for others?

Yes, and it is a common request on this programme. Both mediums are written at the same rate. Mark the medium against each code in the first message so the right paper is used for each one.

I am three cycles behind on MGPE-012 and MGPE-013. Are old sessions still written?

Yes, at the ordinary rate. Give the session that your study centre is expecting the submission against, because the questions differ between cycles and a script written against the wrong year’s paper is not a valid submission.

Does ordering one code cost more per subject than ordering eight?

No. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge, whether the order is a single MGPE-016 catch-up or the whole first-year block.

Is a PDF version sent along with the hard copy?

No soft copy or PDF is sold. The parcel contains written answers on A4, the cover sheet and a copy of the question paper, and nothing is emailed afterwards.

How much of my MGPS result actually depends on these assignments?

Three tenths of it, with the term-end examination carrying the rest. The practical stake is larger than the number suggests, because an unsubmitted assignment keeps the course off the term-end examination roll for that cycle.

What does the ₹320 not include?

It does not include anything electronic, and it does not include a stated delivery date. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.

Do I have to pay before seeing the handwriting?

No. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge, and a return sample comes back on WhatsApp before any amount is settled. You look at the match first.

Where Every Line on This Page Came From

IGNOU Common Prospectus, July 2026.
