Description
In short. Shri Chakradhar Publication prepares handwritten Tutor Marked Assignment sets for the IGNOU Master of Arts (Environmental Studies), covering every code the programme issues across its four semesters: the MEV and MEVE papers that form its core, the two borrowed MSD sustainability papers, the MED energy elective and the six-credit MEDS urban-planning paper in Semester IV. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. A MAEVS learner writes eighteen assignments in total, not twenty-two, because three of the six Semester III electives are dropped by choice and MEVP-012 Project Work carries no Tutor Marked Assignment. Every set is written out on A4 in the learner’s own matched handwriting, arrives with a free IGNOU-format front page and a copy of the official question paper, and is prepared for whichever admission cycle the learner is registered under, including backlog codes from older cycles.
Inside the Parcel That Reaches Your Address
A MAEVS order is physical. What the courier hands over is a bundle of A4 sheets, one stapled set per course code, with nothing to download and nothing to print at your end. No soft copy or PDF is sold.
Each course code in the order arrives as four things. First, the answer pages themselves, written in blue or black ink on one side of plain A4, numbered, with the question number written beside every answer as the MAEVS booklet instructs. Second, a free IGNOU-format front page carrying the fields the booklet asks for on the top of the first response sheet: name, enrolment number, cycle of admission, programme code, assignment code, course code, course title, address, contact number and date of submission. Third, a printed copy of the official MAEVS Tutor Marked Assignment paper those answers were written from, so the questions in your hand match the questions on the sheets. Fourth, the pages arrive tagged rather than loose, because instruction one on the MAEVS booklet says to use A4 paper and tag all pages carefully.
Ordering three codes means three separate stapled sets in one parcel, not one continuous document. That matters at the study centre: the MAEVS booklet asks learners to answer each assignment on a separate sheet, and the evaluator identifies a paper by the course code written on its own front page.
Where ₹320 Per Subject Starts and Stops
The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. What sits inside that figure is the writing itself, the free IGNOU-format front page, the copy of the question paper, the handwriting match against your own sample, and the courier to your address. What sits outside it is nothing you would be asked for later: there is no packing charge, no per-page charge, no charge for a long paper over a short one, and no surcharge for a code from an older cycle.
There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. A learner catching up on a single Semester II code pays the same per paper as a learner ordering a full Semester I stack of five. On the arithmetic of the programme, eighteen assignments at ₹320 is what the whole MAEVS TMA requirement costs if every paper is ordered, which almost no learner does, because most write some of their own.
Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. Two learners ordering the same five MEV codes on the same afternoon from different states will not receive them on the same day, and a page that pretends otherwise is guessing on your behalf.
Reference PDF or Submission Set: Telling the Two Apart
These are two different products and MAEVS learners regularly buy the wrong one. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one course code and one session, downloaded and read. A handwritten assignment is those answers written out by hand on A4 and handed in as hard copy at the study centre. One is study material. The other is the submission.
| Point of difference | Solved assignment | Handwritten assignment |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft copy, a PDF you download | Hard copy, A4 sheets written by hand |
| What you do with it | Read it, then write your own answers in your own words | Read it, sign the declaration, hand it in |
| Reaches the study centre | No, it is a reference file | Yes, this is the object that is submitted |
| Who it suits | A MAEVS learner who has the weeks to write eighteen papers | A MAEVS learner short of writing time before the cycle closes |
| Rate on this page | Not sold here, shelved separately | ₹320 per subject, courier included |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
The MAEVS booklet settles the question of what may be handed in, and it does so in its own words rather than anyone else’s. Point three under the writing instructions reads that you should write the answer in your own handwriting. The submission line reads that the completed assignment should be sent to the Coordinator of the Study Centre allotted to you. A downloaded PDF satisfies neither line. It is a reference to write from, and it is not a submission.
MAEVS has no solved-assignment shelf of its own on this store yet, which is a gap worth stating plainly rather than papering over. Because MEV-011, MEVE-011, MEVE-019, MEV-014 and several other MAEVS codes are shared with the M.Sc. programme, the nearest existing shelf of soft-copy reference files is the one holding soft-copy reference files filed under M.Sc. Environmental Science, and the MEV codes there are the same MEV codes MAEVS issues.

Semester I and II: The Ten Papers Behind Your PGDEVS Exit
MAEVS is built on a modular design, and the first year is not just the first half of a master’s degree. The IGNOU Common Prospectus for July 2026 states that learners completing the first year of courses become eligible to receive the Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies, and that the programme carries lateral entry and exit. Reading the two tables against each other confirms it exactly: the PGDEVS course list in the prospectus is the same ten codes as MAEVS Semesters I and II, in the same order, for the same 40 credits.
That has a practical consequence for a handwritten order. These ten papers are the ones a learner cannot skip under any elective choice, and they are also the ten that decide whether the diploma exit is available if the second year is never taken.
| Code | Official title | Credits | Semester |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEV-011 | Fundamentals of Environmental Science and Ecology | 4 | I |
| MEVE-019 | Environmental Issues | 4 | I |
| MEV-015 | Environmental Pollution, Control and Management | 4 | I |
| MEVE-017 | Environment and Society | 4 | I |
| MSD-019 | Global Strategies to Sustainable Development | 4 | I |
| MEV-016 | Environmental Impact Assessment | 4 | II |
| MEVE-011 | Global Climate Change | 4 | II |
| MEV-017 | Environmental Legislations | 4 | II |
| MEVE-016 | Urban Environment | 4 | II |
| MEV-014 | Sustainable Natural Resource Management | 4 | II |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
Ten papers, four credits each, 40 credits for the year. One of the ten is not a MEV or MEVE paper at all: MSD-019 is a sustainability-science code borrowed into the MAEVS structure, and as the assignment-code section below shows, it behaves differently from its neighbours in three separate ways.
Semester III and IV: Two Cores, Six Electives and a Six-Credit Outsider
The second year is where MAEVS learners most often order the wrong papers. Semester III prints eight codes but only five of them are yours. Two are compulsory, and the prospectus then instructs the learner to choose any three courses from a list of six. The remaining three are simply not your assignments, and paying to have them written is money spent on papers no evaluator will ever open.
Semester IV is where the credit pattern breaks. Two four-credit theory papers, then MEDS-042 at six credits, then MEVP-012 Project Work at six credits. MEDS-042 is not a home MAEVS course: it belongs to the urban-development pool run under a different school and appears in the same prospectus inside the MA Urban Development and the PG Diploma in Urban Planning and Development tables. MEVP-012 carries no Tutor Marked Assignment at all, which is why the second-year booklet on the assignment portal contains eleven papers and not twelve.
| Code | Official title | Credits | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEV-019 | Research Methodology for Environmental Science | 4 | Semester III, compulsory |
| MEVE-014 | Biodiversity Conservation and Management | 4 | Semester III, compulsory |
| MEV-024 | Climate Change Assessment Tools | 4 | Semester III, elective, choose any three from six |
| MEV-002 | Environmental and Occupational Hazards | 4 | Semester III, elective |
| MEV-025 | Climate Change and Society | 4 | Semester III, elective |
| MSD-023 | Social Ecology, Globalisation and Sustainability | 4 | Semester III, elective |
| MEV-018 | Environmental Health and Ecotoxicology | 4 | Semester III, elective |
| MED-003 | Energy and Environment | 4 | Semester III, elective |
| MEVE-012 | Environmental Management | 4 | Semester IV, compulsory |
| MEVE-015 | Disaster Management | 4 | Semester IV, compulsory |
| MEDS-042 | Issues and Challenges in Urban Planning and Development | 6 | Semester IV, compulsory |
| MEVP-012 | Project Work | 6 | Semester IV, no Tutor Marked Assignment |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
The credits add up cleanly once the elective rule is applied. Semester III contributes eight compulsory credits plus twelve chosen credits, Semester IV contributes twenty, and the second year therefore carries 40 credits against the first year’s 40. The prospectus states a total of 80 for MAEVS, and 40 plus 40 is the figure it states. That arithmetic is the reason the assignment count lands at eighteen: ten first-year papers, five second-year papers a learner keeps in Semester III, and three in Semester IV.
Five Places the MAEVS Paperwork Contradicts Itself
The following disagreements were found by reading IGNOU’s own documents against each other, and by reading this store’s own pages against them. None of them is resolved silently here, because a learner filling in a cover page needs to know which version to write.
Disagreements found in MAEVS documents, including one on this store.
1. MEVE-017 is titled two ways in one prospectus. The MAEVS table in the Common Prospectus July 2026 prints the title as Environmental and Society. The PGDEVS and PGDEML tables in the same document print it as Environment and Society. The live Tutor Marked Assignment paper on the assignment portal settles it: the booklet heading and the Course Title line both read Environment and Society. Write that version on your cover page.
2. MEDS-042 is written three ways in one prospectus. The MAEVS Semester IV table prints MEDS 042. The MA Urban Development table prints MEDS-042. The PG Diploma in Urban Planning and Development table prints MEDS 42. The live TMA paper prints a fourth form again, MEDS-42, and that is the form to write in the assignment code field.
3. The booklet cover dates itself two different ways. Both MAEVS booklets carry the line January 2025 to July 2026 Sessions immediately above a bracketed line reading valid from Jan 2025 to December 2026. One says the sessions end in July 2026, the other says validity runs to December 2026. Check with your Regional Centre which reading governs your cycle before writing against a paper whose validity you cannot pin down.
4. One MEV-011 paper, two programme covers. The assignment portal carries the same MEV-011 questions under two separate files. One is headed Master of Arts (Environmental Studies), First Year. The other is headed Master of Science (Environmental Science), First Semester, and lists MEV 011, MEV 012 and MEV 013 on its cover. The eight questions and the assignment code are identical in both. Neither cover mentions PGDEVS or PGDEML, although the prospectus places MEV-011 in both of those programmes too.
5. This store’s own MEVE-17 book page is labelled for the wrong programme. The help-book product for MEVE 17 on shrichakradhar.com is titled as an M.Sc. Environmental Science fourth-semester book while also being shelved under MA Environmental Studies. For a MAEVS learner MEVE-017 is a Semester I course, not a fourth-semester one. That mislabelling is this publisher’s error, not IGNOU’s, and it is queued for correction.
Why No MAEVS Booklet Prints a Last Date
Most IGNOU programmes print two submission cut-offs on the booklet, one per session. MAEVS does not. Both the first-year and the second-year MAEVS booklets on the assignment portal were read for this page, and neither prints a date anywhere. What they print instead is a rule: submission must fall within the stipulated time, and unless the assignments in the booklet are submitted within that time, the learner will not be permitted to appear for the term-end examination.
That absence is worth taking seriously rather than filling in. Search results for MAEVS submission dates currently circulate at least six different figures across aggregator sites for overlapping cycles, and none of them is printed on the paper a MAEVS learner actually downloads. Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment.
What the booklet does fix is the consequence rather than the calendar. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. The MAEVS booklet states the same weightage in its own words, describing the assignments as the continuous component of the evaluation process carrying thirty per cent of the final grading. A MAEVS learner who misses the window does not lose thirty marks; the term-end seat for that course goes with it.
The practical route is short. Open the IGNOU student services assignment download page, confirm your booklet is the current one, then check your Regional Centre’s own submission notice for the date, because the date lives there and not on the paper.
Four Ways One Booklet Writes an Assignment Code
The assignment code is one of the fields the MAEVS booklet asks you to write at the top of your first response sheet, and it is the field learners most often get wrong, because MAEVS does not use one format. The second-year booklet alone prints four different shapes across its eleven papers, and the five papers listed below cover all four.
| Paper | Assignment code exactly as printed | What differs |
|---|---|---|
| MEV-011, MEV-014 to MEV-019, MEVE-011 to MEVE-019 | MEV-011/TMA-01/January 2025 to July 2026 session | The full form, used by every home MEV and MEVE paper |
| MSD-019 and MSD-023 | MSD-019//TMA-01/January 2025 to July 2026 session | Two slashes after the code, on both borrowed sustainability papers |
| MEV-024 | MEV-024/TMA | No assignment number and no session at all |
| MEV-025 | MEV-025/TMA/ | Trailing slash, no number, no session |
| MEDS-42 | MEDS-42/TMA-01/January 2025 to July 2026 session | The first shape again, but with a two-digit course number, unlike the prospectus form MEDS 042 |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
Copy whichever string is printed on your own paper, exactly as printed, including the double slash if your paper carries one. The double slash on MSD-019 and MSD-023 looks like a typing slip, but it appears on both borrowed papers rather than on one, so it is the form IGNOU is currently issuing for those two courses. Where a paper prints only MEV-024/TMA with no session, that is the whole code, and there is nothing missing to be added by guesswork.
Answer Any Five, or Answer All: Five Patterns in One Booklet
The instruction line changes between papers too, and the change is not cosmetic. Three of the MAEVS papers say to answer all questions rather than any five, and a learner who assumes one rule across the whole booklet will hand in an incomplete paper.
| Papers | Instruction printed | Marks split | Questions printed |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEV and MEVE papers, both years | Answer any five questions | 5 x 20 = 100 | 7 or 8 |
| MEV-024 and MEV-025 | Answer any five questions | 100, marks shown per question | 6 |
| MSD-019 and MSD-023 | Answer all questions | 4 x 25 = 100 | 4 |
| MED-003 | Answer all questions, all compulsory | 100, mixed ten-mark and four-by-five | 9 |
| MEDS-42 | Answer all questions | 5 x 20 = 100 | 5 |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
MED-003 goes further and prints word limits the other MAEVS papers do not: roughly 250 words for a five-mark question and not exceeding 500 words for a ten-mark one. One more oddity is worth flagging because it confuses learners writing MEV-019: question eight on that paper reads as a regression question with an orphan phrase about measures of central tendency appended after the full stop. It is a fragment left in IGNOU’s own file, not a second part of the question.
Matching the Hand That Signs the Declaration
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. A MAEVS learner who has already submitted Semester I papers in their own hand and is now ordering Semester III electives has a particular reason to care: the same evaluator pool sees both, and a set that looks nothing like the earlier one invites a question nobody wants to answer at the study centre.
What to Photograph, and When
One page is enough. Ordinary handwriting on ordinary ruled or plain paper, in the pen you normally use, photographed in daylight with the whole sheet in frame. Text you have copied out of a book works as well as anything original, because what is being matched is letterform and slant, not content. Send it before paying, look at the writer’s sample that comes back, and only then confirm the order.
Second-year codes, including the electives you kept
₹320 per subject, courier included. Name the three Semester III electives you chose so the papers you dropped are not written and not charged for.
English Only, Any Cycle, Backlogs Included
MAEVS is an English-medium programme. The Common Prospectus July 2026 lists the medium of instruction for MAEVS as English with no Hindi option, which is unlike several of the master’s programmes this store serves and worth confirming against your own admission record before ordering. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. If IGNOU later issues a MAEVS paper in another medium, the rate does not move.
Session coverage is deliberately wide. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. MAEVS is examined semester-wise under the prospectus, unlike the two sister programmes run by the same school, which are examined year-wise, and semester-wise progression tends to leave learners carrying one or two papers from an earlier cycle. Those papers are ordered exactly like current ones. Give the code, give the cycle printed on the booklet you downloaded, and the set is written against that paper rather than against whatever is current.
The Short List a MAEVS Order Actually Needs
Five things settle an order. Nothing else is asked for, and nothing about your marks, your grade card or your enrolment history is needed.
- Your course codes. Written as they appear on your own booklet, so MEVE-017 rather than MEVE 17, and MEDS-42 rather than MEDS 042 if that is what your paper prints.
- Your cycle of admission. January or July, and the year. This is the field the booklet asks for on the response sheet, and it decides which paper version is used.
- The session printed on your booklet. Not the session you are sitting, the one printed on the paper you downloaded, because MAEVS papers span a range rather than a single cycle.
- A handwriting sample photo. One page, sent before payment.
- A delivery address with pin code. The pin code is what the delivery window is quoted against.
Once the Courier Hands Over the Packet
Open every set and read it before it goes anywhere. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course. On a MAEVS order that check is quick and specific: confirm the course title on each front page matches your booklet, confirm the assignment code string matches character for character, and confirm the papers that say answer all questions have all their questions answered.
Then fill in the fields only you can fill: enrolment number, name, address and date of submission. Take the bundle to the Coordinator of the Study Centre allotted to you, which is what the MAEVS booklet instructs, and collect the acknowledgement. Photograph or photocopy every page first. The booklet itself asks learners to keep a copy in case the submitted one is lost in transit, and MAEVS submissions travel through study centres like everyone else’s.
Where MAEVS Learners Go Next on This Store
The environmental-studies codes are scattered across several shelves because IGNOU scatters them across several programmes. A MAEVS learner looking for revision material usually starts with the MAEVS help books shelved by course code, and then finds that the deeper stock for the shared papers sits on the M.Sc. shelf carrying the MEV-011 and MEVE-019 guides, since the two programmes issue the same codes.
The borrowed papers each have a home elsewhere. MSD-019 and MSD-023 belong to sustainability science, so the shelf where the MSD papers are catalogued is the one to search for them. MEDS-42 belongs to the urban-planning diploma that owns the MEDS series. MEV-002 is shared with the occupational-health master’s that also issues it, and several Semester I and II codes reappear inside the environmental management and law diploma and inside the environment and sustainable development diploma pool.
For the fourth semester, MEVP-012 is not an assignment but a research report, and the ready-made MEVP-012 project report and synopsis samples sit in a separate category from anything on this page. Term-end preparation runs through guess papers built on the same MEV question bank. If you are ordering across two programmes at once, the single mixed order for any course and session takes them together, and the handwritten shelf for every other programme lists the rest. If you would rather write the pages yourself and only need the method, the companion article on the MAEVS project and programme structure at ignouproject.com covers it without selling anything.
What MAEVS Learners Ask Before They Pay
How many handwritten assignments does a MAEVS learner actually need?
Eighteen, not twenty-two. Ten in the first year, then two Semester III cores, three of the six Semester III electives, and the three Semester IV theory papers. MEVP-012 Project Work carries no Tutor Marked Assignment, so it is never part of a handwritten order.
Which three Semester III electives should be ordered?
Only the three you registered for. The prospectus lists MEV-024, MEV-002, MEV-025, MSD-023, MEV-018 and MED-003 and instructs the learner to choose any three. The three you did not choose are not your assignments, and writing them costs money for papers no evaluator opens. If you are unsure which three are on your record, check your re-registration confirmation before ordering.
Is MEVE-017 called Environment and Society or Environmental and Society?
Environment and Society. The MAEVS table in the Common Prospectus July 2026 prints Environmental and Society, but the PGDEVS table in the same document and the live Tutor Marked Assignment paper both print Environment and Society. Write the booklet version on your front page.
Why is MEDS-042 worth six credits when everything else is four?
Because it is not a home MAEVS course. MEDS-042 belongs to the urban-development course pool run by a different school, where every paper in the series carries six credits, and MAEVS borrows it whole into Semester IV. Its assignment paper is printed under the two-digit form MEDS-42.
What is the last date for MAEVS assignment submission?
Neither MAEVS booklet prints one. Both say submission must fall within the stipulated time and that a learner who misses it will not be permitted to appear for the term-end examination. Aggregator sites circulate several conflicting figures for the same cycle. Take the date from your Regional Centre’s own submission notice rather than from any third-party page, including this one.
Can a downloaded solved assignment PDF be handed in at the study centre?
No. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session. The MAEVS booklet instructs learners to write the answer in their own handwriting and to send the completed assignment to the Coordinator of the Study Centre allotted to them. A printed PDF meets neither instruction. Use it to write from, and submit written pages.
Why does the MEV-011 paper appear under an M.Sc. cover on the portal?
Because the same paper serves both programmes. The assignment portal carries MEV-011 twice: once headed Master of Arts (Environmental Studies) First Year, and once headed Master of Science (Environmental Science) First Semester alongside MEV 012 and MEV 013. The eight questions and the assignment code are identical. Either file gives a MAEVS learner the correct questions.
What does the double slash in MSD-019//TMA-01 mean?
Nothing that changes what you write. It appears on both MSD papers in the MAEVS booklets rather than on one, so it is the form currently issued for those two borrowed courses. Copy the string exactly as printed on your own paper, double slash included.
Are MAEVS assignments available in Hindi?
The Common Prospectus July 2026 lists the medium of instruction for MAEVS as English, with no Hindi option shown. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. Should IGNOU issue a MAEVS paper in another medium, it is written at that same rate. Confirm your own medium on your admission record.
Can backlog MEV codes from an older cycle still be ordered?
Yes. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Send the code and the session printed on the booklet you downloaded, not the session you are currently sitting, because MAEVS papers are dated across a range rather than a single cycle.
Does finishing only the first year give anything?
The Common Prospectus July 2026 states that learners completing the first year of courses become eligible to receive the Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies, and that the programme carries lateral entry and exit. The diploma’s own course table is the same ten codes as MAEVS Semesters I and II, for the same 40 credits.
Which MAEVS papers require every question to be answered?
MSD-019, MSD-023, MED-003 and MEDS-42. Those four print an answer-all instruction rather than the answer-any-five line the MEV and MEVE papers carry. MSD papers are four questions at 25 marks each, MED-003 is nine questions with mixed marks and printed word limits, and MEDS-42 is five questions at 20 each.
Is anything paid before the handwriting sample is seen?
No. The sample photo of the writer’s hand goes to you on WhatsApp first, matched against a page of your own handwriting that you send in. Confirm the order after that, not before.
Does ordering one MAEVS paper cost more per paper than ordering ten?
No. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. A single MEDS-42 catch-up and a full ten-paper first-year stack are priced identically per subject at ₹320.
Will a handwritten set guarantee the assignment is accepted?
No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. What this page commits to is the writing, the format, the matched handwriting and the delivery, and nothing beyond that.
Three Sources Behind This Page, Kept Apart
Source one, the IGNOU Common Prospectus July 2026. Every MAEVS course code, official title, credit value, semester placement and elective rule on this page came from section 3.42 of that document, and the PGDEVS comparison came from section 8.41 of the same file. The credit totals were re-added independently before the tables were built: 40 for the first year, 40 for the second year once the choose-any-three rule is applied, matching the stated total of 80. The medium, the semester-wise examination mode and the modular exit award are from the same source.
Source two, live Tutor Marked Assignment booklets on ignou.ac.in. Three MAEVS-related booklets were opened for this build rather than recalled: the MAEVS first-year booklet for the January 2025 to July 2026 sessions, the MAEVS second-year booklet for the same sessions, and the M.Sc. cover version of the same MEV-011 paper. Every assignment code string, instruction line, marks split and question count quoted above was read off those files. The absence of a printed submission date was verified on all three.
Source three, this publisher’s own commercial terms. The ₹320 rate, the included courier, the free front page, the included question paper, the handwriting match, the no-minimum-order rule and the pin-code-based delivery quote are Shri Chakradhar Publication’s own terms and are not IGNOU rules. They are set by the publisher and can be changed by the publisher.
