What Lands on Your Desk When the MACSR Packet Opens
Four physical things travel in every MACSR order, and none of them is a download. The first is the answer set itself, written in longhand on A4, one bundle per course code, tied course wise as the CSR booklet asks rather than mixed together. The second is the IGNOU-format cover sheet, free with every order, with the programme code, course code and course title already entered so that only your name, signature and study-centre details are left blank on the day you hand it in. The third is a printed copy of the official Tutor Marked Assignment paper the answers were written against, which matters more on MACSR than on most programmes because the paper carries no code string of its own and the only way to prove which file was used is to hold it. Where ₹320 Starts and Where It Stops
One course code costs ₹320. That figure buys the writing, the front page, the copy of the question paper, the packing and the courier to your address. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. A first-year MACSR learner ordering the whole year sends five or six codes depending on which elective was registered; a second-year learner sends whichever selection adds up to the 36 credits chosen from the basket, which can be as few as four codes or as many as seven.
What ₹320 does not buy is a verdict on the work, and the notice at the foot of this page sets out exactly what is and is not being claimed about evaluation. It also does not buy a date. Reference File or Submission Copy: Telling the Two CSR Products Apart
Two different things get called an assignment in CSR search results, and ordering the wrong one costs a learner a fortnight. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers written against a course code and session, delivered as a PDF, read on a screen. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on A4 and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. The first is something to write from. The second is the thing you hand in.
IGNOU is not ambiguous on which of the two the university will take. Instruction 4 on the MACSR booklet reads, in the university’s own words, that you should write in your own handwriting and that only handwritten assignments are accepted. Instruction 2 on the same page tells you to use A-4 size plain or ruled paper, to write on both sides with a margin, and to tie all the pages carefully course wise. A downloaded PDF satisfies none of that. It is a reference, not a submission, and this page does not sell one or pretend that one can be handed in.

The First-Year CSR Papers, Code by Code
Section 3.47 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus prints the MACSR first year as seven rows, of which one is an either-or. MEDS-051, MEDS-052, MEDS-053 and MEDS-054 are compulsory at six credits each, MSW-009 is compulsory at four, and then a learner elects one of two eight-credit courses: MEDSE-046 Development: Issues and Perspectives, or MEDSP-051 Project Work in CSR. Summed independently, that is 6 plus 6 plus 6 plus 6 plus 4 plus 8, which is 36 credits, and 36 is exactly what section 8.22 of the same prospectus prints as the whole of the Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility.
The elective choice changes the size of your order by one paper. Elect MEDSE-046 and there are six first-year papers to write. Elect MEDSP-051 and there are five, because IGNOU issues no Tutor Marked Assignment for the project course at all. A CSR learner can therefore finish the taught side of the first year having never written a project, which is worth saying in your first message because it changes the count.

The Twelve Second-Year Papers and the 64-Credit Basket
The second year is not a fixed list. The prospectus heads it “II Year (Choose any 36 Credits)” and then prints twelve rows drawn from four schools: eight courses at six credits and four at four credits. Sum the whole basket independently and it comes to 64 credits, from which a learner selects 36. That is why two MACSR learners in the same year hold entirely different code sets, and why nothing on this page assumes what yours contains. Six plus six plus six plus six plus six plus six reaches 36 on its own, so a learner taking only six-credit courses writes six papers; a learner using the four-credit block writes seven.
All twelve second-year courses carry a paper. Adding the six first-year papers, that is eighteen taught codes with a written assignment across the whole degree.

MEDS-042 is shared with the MA in Urban Studies, MPCE-031 and MPCE-033 come from psychology, and MSWE-002 and MSW-009 come from social work, so a CSR learner ordering a second-year set is often ordering papers set by three other schools. Seven Disagreements in the CSR Paperwork, IGNOU’s and This Store’s Own
Everything below was found by reading the July 2026 Common Prospectus, the MACSR programme page on ignou.ac.in and two live assignment booklets against one another on 4 September 2026. None of it is a complaint about the university. It is published here because a learner who meets one of these mid-order loses time, and because the store’s own errors are named in the same list rather than left out of it.
Disagreements found in IGNOU’s own MACSR documents, and in this store’s own pages.
1. MEDS-055 carries two titles. The prospectus and the ignou.ac.in course page both call it Corporate Ethics and Governance. Assignment 12 in the July 2024 and January 2025 booklet heads it Corporate Ethics and Development. The question set underneath covers ethical marketing, corporate governance, boards, ESG and alternative dispute resolution, which fits the governance title.
2. MSW-009 is placed in two different years. The prospectus puts it in Year I and the booklet prints it as first-year Assignment 5. The ignou.ac.in course list tags it Year 2. Summing the credits settles it: without MSW-009 the first year reaches only 32, not the 36 that section 8.22 prints for the identical diploma, so the Year I placement is the one the arithmetic supports.
3. The same codes are spelled differently in one document. The prospectus prints MSW – 009, MDV- 102, MDV- 108 and MEDS- 042 with spaces inside the MACSR table, and MSW-009 and MEDS-042 without spaces in the PGDCSR and MAUS tables a few pages away. The ignou.ac.in page also spells the title Community Organisation where the prospectus spells it Organization.
4. The second-year credit note has no defined span. The prospectus prints “12 Credits to be taken together” against the four-credit block without marking which rows it covers. Read as MPCE-031, MPCE-033 and MSWE-002 it works. Read as including MEDS-055 it also works. Read the first way, MEDS-055 cannot enter any combination that reaches exactly 36. Confirm the intended grouping with the School of Extension and Development Studies before registering it.
5. The MPCE papers count their own questions two ways. Section C of both MPCE-031 and MPCE-033 is headed “10×3=30 Marks” and then prints ten numbered items rather than three. The instruction and the paper do not match, and the booklet gives no note resolving it.
6. A PGDCSR booklet names the wrong sessions in its own instructions. The file titled July 2022 and January 2023 prints last dates for the January 2022 and July 2022 sessions and never gives a January 2023 date at all. The MACSR file for July 2024 and January 2025 does not repeat the error.
7. This store still carries claims that should not be live. The CSR guide-book and CSR solved-assignment shelves both state that a minimum share of exam questions will come from the books, which is a guarantee about an examination this publisher does not set. The handwritten category page prints a courier window as a figure. Older handwritten products still carry a superlative, a rejection claim and a ₹350 rate. Those lines are wrong, they are being removed, and no page should be read as if they were true.
The Two Dates Printed at the Foot of the CSR Instruction Page
Instruction 5 on the MACSR booklet gives two cut-offs and nothing else. On the July 2024 and January 2025 file they read 31 March 2025 for the July 2024 session and 30 September 2025 for the January 2025 session. The PGDCSR file for the earlier pair uses the same pattern, 30 September for a January session and 31 March of the following year for a July session. That is the School of Extension and Development Studies shape, and it is the reverse of the School of Management Studies pair of 31 October and 30 April that aggregator sites circulate for every IGNOU programme regardless of school. A page telling you that MACSR July 2026 is due 31 October 2026 has carried a management-school date onto a CSR code.
Two things then move the date again. IGNOU issues university-wide extension notices that override what a booklet prints, as it did when the June 2026 cycle was pushed to 30 April 2026. And Regional Centres set their own collection windows inside the university window. Read the date off your own file, then confirm the operative one on ignou.ac.in and with your Regional Centre. Ordering roughly a fortnight before whichever date applies leaves room for the courier and for a re-read.
Why Your MACSR Paper Has No TMA String on It
Most IGNOU programmes print an assignment code on the paper, something in the shape of a course code followed by TMA and a session. MACSR does not. Open the file and each paper is headed only with a word and a number, “ASSIGNMENT – 1” through to “ASSIGNMENT – 6” for the first year and “Assignment 1” through to “Assignment 12” for the second, with the course code printed separately underneath as a line reading Course Code, then the code, then Maximum Marks: 100. There is no string to quote.
That has two consequences worth knowing before you order. First, the number alone is ambiguous inside a single PDF, because Assignment 1 is MEDS-051 in the first-year half and MDV-102 in the second-year half of the same file. Quoting “Assignment 1” identifies nothing on its own. Send the course code instead. Second, since there is no code string tying a paper to a session, the only evidence of which file an answer set was written against is the copy of the question paper that ships with it, which is why that copy is in the packet rather than an optional extra.
The booklet also carries an instruction that catches learners out: it says that irrespective of the year and session of registration, you submit the latest assignments uploaded on the website. On MACSR the latest uploaded file is the July 2024 and January 2025 booklet, and IGNOU’s master’s index has posted nothing newer as of 4 September 2026. A 2026 learner following the instruction literally arrives at a file whose two printed dates have already passed. Confirm with your Regional Centre which paper it is collecting rather than assuming the printed date still governs.
Your Own Handwriting, Taken From a Photo You Send
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. The point is not decoration. A learner submitting six CSR papers in one visit is submitting several thousand pages-worth of ink under a declaration in their own name, and a set that does not resemble their hand invites a question at the counter that nobody needs.
The sample comes back before payment, so the decision to order is made after seeing the hand rather than before. Writing is done in blue or black ink on A4, on both sides with a margin, as instruction 2 on the CSR booklet asks, and each course is tied separately rather than bundled with the next.
What Makes a Usable Sample Photo
Half a page of ordinary writing is enough. Daylight, the page flat, the whole sheet in frame, no filter. Numerals and a few capitals help, because CSR answers carry section numbers, Act references and marks allocations. A photograph of printed text or of somebody else’s writing produces a match to the wrong hand, which defeats the exercise.
English Only, Any Cycle, Backlogs Included

The Five Things to Put in Your First Message
Nothing else is needed to start, and none of it is payment information.
- The course codes, exactly as your registration confirmation spells them. MEDS-051 and MEDS 051 both resolve, but a code you half remember does not.
- Which year you sit in, and if you are in the first, which of the two electives you registered, because MEDSE-046 adds a paper and MEDSP-051 does not.
- The session printed on the cover of the file you downloaded, or the session your Regional Centre has told you it is collecting.
- A photo of a page in your own handwriting, for the match.
- The delivery pin code, so the courier window can be confirmed for your address rather than guessed.

Once the Courier Reaches Your Door
Open the bundle and read what is inside before it leaves your hands again, because the declaration on the cover page carries your signature and the responsibility that goes with it, as the notice at the foot of this page sets out. Check that the course code on each cover sheet matches the code on your registration record, and that the question paper stapled to each set is the one your Regional Centre is collecting.
Then fill in your name, enrolment number, signature and study-centre details on the front page, hand the set in at the collection point your Regional Centre names, and keep the acknowledgement. Marks appear on the grade card some weeks later. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. What lands on the grade card from this set is therefore roughly a third of what the course finally reports.

What MACSR Learners Ask Before They Send Codes
How many MACSR papers do I actually have to write?
Eighteen taught codes across the degree carry a question paper. In the first year it is six if you registered MEDSE-046 and five if you registered MEDSP-051, because the project course has no assignment. In the second year it is however many codes make up the 36 credits you selected from the 64-credit basket, which is usually six or seven.
Why does my MACSR paper look identical to the PGDCSR paper?
Because the syllabus is the same. Section 8.22 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus prints the Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility as MEDS-051, MEDS-052, MEDS-053, MEDS-054, MSW-009, MEDSE-046 and MEDSP-051 totalling 36 credits, which is exactly the MACSR first year. IGNOU therefore publishes first-year CSR assignments in two folders, one under the master’s index and one under the PG diploma index.
What is the last date for a MACSR assignment?
The MACSR booklet prints 31 March of the following year for a July session and 30 September for a January session. That is the School of Extension and Development Studies pattern, not the 31 October and 30 April pair used by the School of Management Studies, so a date copied from an MBA page does not apply to a CSR code. IGNOU also issues extension notices that push these dates back, so confirm on ignou.ac.in and with your Regional Centre.
Can I submit a typed or printed CSR assignment instead?
The MACSR booklet answers this directly in instruction 4: write in your own handwriting, and only handwritten assignments are accepted. Instruction 2 adds that the answers go on A-4 plain or ruled paper, written on both sides with a margin, tied course wise. A printed sheet meets none of those conditions.
Solved assignment aur handwritten assignment mein kya farq hai?
A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session, meant to be read and written from. A handwritten assignment is the answer set written out by hand on A4 and handed in as a hard copy at the study centre. The first helps you write; the second is what you submit. Is the whole MACSR set available as a PDF?

Which questions carry how many marks on a CSR paper?
Three patterns coexist in one booklet. The MEDS, MDV and MEDSE papers set five questions at 20 marks each, with an instruction to write around 600 to 800 words per question. The MSW-009 and MSWE-002 papers split 100 marks into two 20-mark questions with either-or alternatives, two 10-mark answers of about 300 words, four 5-mark answers of about 150 words and five short notes of about 100 words. The MPCE-031 and MPCE-033 papers use Sections A, B and C with 45, 25 and 30 marks.
Why does the MPCE Section C instruction not match the questions printed?
Both MPCE papers head Section C with a 10 by 3 equals 30 marks line and then print ten numbered items rather than three. The booklet gives no note reconciling them. Until IGNOU clarifies, the safe course is to answer everything printed and to ask your Regional Centre which reading it applies.
Is MSW-009 a first-year or second-year CSR course?
The prospectus and the assignment booklet both place it in the first year; the ignou.ac.in course list tags it Year 2. The credits decide it. Without MSW-009 the first year sums to 32 rather than the 36 the identical diploma carries, so the first-year placement is the one that reconciles. Order it as a first-year paper unless your Regional Centre says otherwise.
Can I get a CSR assignment in Hindi?
Not on MACSR. Section 3.47 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English, the ignou.ac.in programme page says the same, and every CSR paper IGNOU has posted is in English. There is no Hindi paper on this programme to write against.
My codes are from an old session. Will you still write them?
Yes. Backlog codes and older cycles are written at the same rate as current ones, with no surcharge for age. Send the codes and the session printed on the file your Regional Centre is collecting, and the set is written against that paper.
