IGNOU BAFSO Handwritten Assignment: Ten Sociology Major Codes, Batch-Wise Cut-Offs

Original price was: ₹500.00.Current price is: ₹320.00.

This is the IGNOU BAFSO handwritten assignment for the Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) Major: any of the ten Major codes IGNOU prints for BAFSO, which are BSOC-101 to 104, BSOC-109, BSOC-111 to 114 and BSOE-144, and any minor, skill or common paper on your record, written out by hand at ₹320 per subject as a hard copy with courier included, for the current cycle or any older BAFSO session.

  • Keep the 30 per cent that each paper carries. The 2025-26 BAFSO booklets give the January 2026 batch until 31 October 2026 and gave the July 2025 batch until 30 April 2026. A BSOC paper left unsubmitted leaves that share of the course result blank.
  • Ten Major papers, one flat rate. BSOC-101, 102, 103, 104, 109, 111, 112, 113, 114 and BSOE-144 are each priced at ₹320, and so is a minor, skill-enhancement, ability or value-added code.
  • Check the handwriting before any money moves. Send one page you wrote yourself. The set is matched to that hand at no extra charge, and a sample comes back on WhatsApp before you pay.
  • The paper and the cover sheet come with it. Each set carries a copy of the official BAFSO question paper and a free IGNOU-format front page, and it follows the word guide that paper prints, which is 400 words for Section I on BSOC-101 and 500 on BSOC-102.
  • English or Hindi at the same price. The prospectus lists both mediums for BAFSO. Say which one your paper is in when you order.
  • Backlogs back to the first BAFSO batch. The programme opened with the January 2024 session, so any BSOC paper from that session onward is written at the same ₹320.
  • No PDF, and no minimum. Only the hard copy is sold. Order one code or all ten.
  • Delivery time depends on where you live. It is worked out from your pin code and confirmed before payment. No figure is promised here.

Description

In short. Shri Chakradhar Publication writes IGNOU BAFSO assignments by hand, one course code per set, for the Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) Major that the School of Social Sciences has run since the January 2024 session. That covers the ten Major papers the July 2026 Common Prospectus prints for BAFSO, which are BSOC-101, BSOC-102, BSOC-103, BSOC-104, BSOC-111, BSOC-113, BSOE-144, BSOC-109, BSOC-112 and BSOC-114 at six credits each, and any minor, interdisciplinary, skill, ability or value-added code that appears on your record. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. The 2025-26 BAFSO booklets date submission by admission batch rather than by examination: 30 April 2026 for the July 2025 batch and 31 October 2026 for the January 2026 batch, with the finished set handed to the coordinator of your study centre. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent.

What Comes in Your BAFSO Packet for Each BSOC Code

Every BAFSO paper that the Discipline of Sociology issued for 2025-26 is built the same way on the page, and the packet follows that build. The paper totals 100 marks. Section I asks for two long answers at 20 marks each, Section II for three answers of about 250 words at 10 marks each, and Section III for five short answers of about 100 words at 6 marks each. So one BAFSO code means ten answers, written in the order the paper prints them, with each question number and section label carried over so that a counsellor reading the set can match it to the booklet without turning pages back and forth.

Four things arrive for each code. The first is the handwritten answer set itself, on loose sheets in the section order of your paper. The second is a front page in the IGNOU format, filled in with the programme code BAFSO, the course code, the course title and the assignment code exactly as your booklet prints it, and left blank where your own name, enrolment number, signature and study centre go. The third is a copy of the official question paper for that code and that session, so the questions you are answering travel with the answers. The fourth is the courier cover that brings the packet to your address.

The front page matters more for BAFSO than for most programmes, for a reason specific to these booklets. The assignment codes printed on the 2025-26 BAFSO papers do not contain the course code at all. BSOC-101 prints its code as ASST /TMA /2025-26, and BSOE-144 prints exactly the same string. A cover that repeated only the assignment code would therefore not tell anyone which paper was inside, so the course code sits in its own field on every front page Shri Chakradhar Publication prepares for this programme.

What does not arrive is anything digital. There is no scan, no typed version and no file sent by email or WhatsApp once the set is written. If you order five BAFSO codes, five separate sets arrive, each with its own front page and question paper, so that you can hand in each one as its own submission, which is how the study centre receipts them.

Where the ₹320 per BAFSO Subject Stops

The price is set per course code, not per semester or per year, because two BAFSO learners from the same batch rarely hold the same code list. The ten Major papers are common to everyone on the programme, but the minor discipline, the interdisciplinary paper, the skill courses and the language paper are chosen, and a learner who re-registered late or is carrying a backlog will hold a mix of sessions as well. Pricing by code keeps the quote exact.

The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. For a BAFSO learner who wants every Major paper in one go, that is ten codes at ₹320, or ₹3,200 for the full Sociology Major list, and the same arithmetic applies to any mix of Major and non-Major codes.

Inside that ₹320 sit the writing, the matching of the handwriting to your own sample, the front page, the copy of the question paper and the courier. Nothing is added at checkout for packing, for Hindi medium, for an older session or for a backlog code.

Several things sit outside it. Handing the set to your study centre is yours to do, and so is signing the declaration on the cover page. University fees, the re-registration form, the examination form and any practical or project component are not part of a handwritten assignment. The fourth-year BAFSO structure in the prospectus includes a 12-credit project or dissertation option in the eighth semester, but the prospectus says the fourth-year course details will be provided later, and a dissertation is not a Tutor Marked Assignment, so this product does not cover it.

Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. The reason is practical: a set going to a metro pin code and a set going to a remote district travel differently, and a single number printed here would be wrong for one of them.

Solved Reference File or Handwritten Hard Copy: Which One a BAFSO Learner Hands In

Two different things are sold under similar names, and BAFSO learners search for both. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session, usually a PDF, meant to be read. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on paper and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. The first is a study aid. The second is the thing a study centre actually receives.

On a phone, slide the table sideways to see both columns.

The BAFSO booklets themselves settle what gets submitted. The 2025-26 BSOC-101 and BSOC-102 papers tell the learner to “write the answers to all the TMA questions in your own words”, and to write the final version neatly before submitting it to the coordinator of the study centre. None of the five BAFSO-related booklets opened for this page mentions paper size, ink or typing. The one written rule on typing sits in section 14.7 of the Common Prospectus, which allows learners with a valid disability certificate to submit a typed assignment. Read the other way, that exception is the prospectus treating handwritten submission as the norm.

So the honest scoping is simple. A solved file is something to write from. It is not a submission, and a printed PDF handed across the counter is not what the booklet describes. If a reference file is all you need, the store keeps model answers for the shared BSOC codes on its BSOC solved assignment reference files filed under BA Honours Sociology. Check the session and the programme on any file you open there, because IGNOU prints separate BSOC booklets for BASOH and for BAFSO, and the questions are not the same from one to the other.

The Ten Sociology Major Papers IGNOU Prints for BAFSO

The Common Prospectus for July 2026 gives BAFSO its own section, numbered 5.10, and that section contains a heading, the school name and the words Major Courses (Discipline Specific Courses), then nothing. The ten-row table that belongs to it is printed two pages later, inside section 5.11 for BA (Journalism and Digital Media), after that programme’s eligibility line and its note that BAFJDM is taught in English only. The rows are unmistakably Sociology rows, BSOC and BSOE codes from the Discipline of Sociology, and they sit directly above the four-year structure template, so this page reads them as the BAFSO Major list and says so openly rather than presenting the table as if it had been found where it should be.

The arithmetic confirms the reading. The prospectus says a BA Major carries 60 credits of Discipline Specific Courses at 6 credits each, which is ten courses. The displaced table has ten rows at 6 credits, and 10 times 6 is 60. The structure template then allots exactly ten 6-credit DSC slots across the first six semesters, one each in semesters 1 and 2 and two each in semesters 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Slide sideways on a small screen. Titles and credits are copied from the prospectus, with the spacing around hyphens made consistent, and the last column records only what was actually read for this page.

Three details in that list deserve attention before you order. The first is BSOE 144. Every other row carries the BSOC prefix that the Discipline uses for core papers, and BSOE is its prefix for electives. In BA (Honours) Sociology, BSOE 144 is one of the sixth-semester “any two” electives. In the BAFSO Major list it is printed as a compulsory core row, and its own 2025-26 booklet calls it a core course while carrying a cover that names no programme at all.

The second is BSOC 110, Social Stratification. It is absent from the prospectus list, but the official BAFSO programme page on ignou.ac.in lists BSOC-110 as a 6-credit BAFSO course and does not list BSOE-144. One of the two documents is wrong about your Major, and this page cannot tell you which. If BSOC-110 is printed on your re-registration record, it is the code to order, and it is priced at the same ₹320.

The third is the order of the rows. The prospectus prints the ten codes as a flat list and never says which semester each belongs to. The printed order runs 101, 102, 103, 104, 111, 113, 144, 109, 112, 114, which does not follow the numbers, so reading semesters off the table is guesswork. Your study material dispatch and your re-registration record show which codes you hold in which semester, and those are the documents to follow.

Papers Outside the Sociology Major on Your BAFSO Record

The ten Major papers are only half of a BAFSO degree. The prospectus sets the three-year Major at 120 credits, and the other 60 come from six categories that the Sociology section never lists because they are shared by every BA Major programme. They are printed once, in the common course lists at the start of the four-year programmes chapter, and each of them carries its own Tutor Marked Assignment, so each is a code you may need written.

Slide sideways on a small screen. The code lists are those the prospectus prints for all BA Major programmes.

Two rules in the same chapter shape which of those codes a BAFSO learner can hold. The interdisciplinary course has to come from outside both your Major and your Minor, which on the prospectus wording rules out BSOG 171, the one Sociology entry on the interdisciplinary list. The discipline-specific Minor has to come from a discipline other than your Major, which rules out the Sociology Minor codes BSOM 161, 162 and 163. The skill-enhancement list carries no such rule, so BSOS 184 and BSOS 185 are open to a BAFSO learner. The prospectus totals check against the template: 60 for the Major, 24 for the two kinds of Minor, 8 for ability enhancement, 16 for skill enhancement, 6 for the interdisciplinary course and 6 for the value-added course make 120, and the fourth year adds 40 more for the 160-credit Honours degree.

The same section also gives the exit points. After the first year a learner can leave with a UG Certificate at 40 credits plus a 4-credit vocational course, after the second year with a UG Diploma at 80 plus 4, after the third with the UG Degree with Major at 120, and after the fourth with the Honours degree at 160. A learner who is aiming for an early exit still needs every assignment for the codes taken up to that point.

One caution runs through all of this. The official BAFSO page on ignou.ac.in lists BSOM and BSOG codes among BAFSO courses, and IGNOU prints booklets for BSOG-171 and BSOM-162 under a BAFSO banner. Those banners reflect the Discipline of Sociology that writes the papers, not a ruling that a BAFSO learner may take them. Order the codes that are on your own record and nothing else.

Twelve Places Where BAFSO Documents Contradict Each Other

Reading the prospectus, the programme page and five live booklets against one another turned up twelve disagreements. None of them changes the price of a set. Several of them change what you should write on the front page, which code you should order, or which date you should believe, and one of them is on this store’s own pages.

Where two IGNOU documents disagree about your BAFSO paper, follow the booklet for your own course code and session, and confirm anything else with your Regional Centre.

1. The BAFSO section of the Common Prospectus July 2026, section 5.10, prints a heading and no table. The ten BAFSO Major rows appear inside section 5.11, the BA (Journalism and Digital Media) section, after that programme’s English-only medium line.

2. The prospectus Major list includes BSOE 144, Reading Ethnographies, and leaves out BSOC 110, Social Stratification. The ignou.ac.in BAFSO programme page lists BSOC-110 and does not list BSOE-144.

3. BSOG-171 carries two titles inside its own 2025-26 BAFSO booklet: Indian Society: Myths and Realities on the cover, Indian Society: Images and Realities in the letter and on the paper. The prospectus uses Images and gives 6 credits; the ignou.ac.in page uses Myths and gives 4.

4. Four assignment-code formats appear on BAFSO-related booklets of the same 2025-26 session: ASST /TMA /2025-26, ASST/TMA / 2025-2026, ASST /TMA / July 2025-January 2026 and ASST /TMA / July 2025 – Jan. 2026. None contains the course code. The 2026-27 BASOH booklet from the same Discipline switches to BSOC-106/ASST/TMA/2026-27.

5. Cover pages disagree about whom a paper is for. BSOC-101 and BSOC-102 name BAFSO. BSOE-144, which is in the BAFSO Major list, names only a Bachelor’s of Arts Programme. BSOG-171 and BSOM-162 name BAFSO although the prospectus bars a BAFSO learner from a Sociology interdisciplinary course or Minor.

6. Section I word limits differ between papers: about 400 words on BSOC-101, about 500 on BSOC-102, BSOE-144, BSOG-171 and BSOS-184.

7. The BSOS-184 booklet calls its paper a core course and says a four-credit course has three TMAs, contradicting the rule printed two lines above it that a four-credit course has two. The prospectus lists BSOS 184 as a 4-credit skill-enhancement course.

8. The prospectus says the value-added course is offered only in the first semester. Its own structure template places it in the second.

9. Credits differ across documents: the BSOM-162 booklet calls itself a six-credit course where the prospectus Minor list gives 4, and the ignou.ac.in page gives BABG-171 4 credits where the prospectus interdisciplinary list gives 6.

10. Every BAFSO booklet says it contains three TMAs, then prints a single 100-mark paper in three parts, labelled Section I to III, Assignment A to C or Assignment One to Three depending on the booklet, sometimes two ways within one booklet.

11. Aggregator sites circulate 30 September as the BAFSO last date. The booklets print 31 October for the January batch and 30 April for the July batch. The 30 September and 31 March pair belongs to other programmes, including SOSS master’s programmes and the Bachelor of Social Work.

12. This store’s own older pages disagree with this one. Several solved-assignment product pages for BA codes still offer a handwritten version at ₹300 or ₹350 with a fixed delivery window, the handwritten category page quotes a different delivery window and a different founding year, and a legacy BASOH book page makes a claim about marks. The rate on this page is ₹320, no delivery figure is promised, and no marks claim is made anywhere on it. The older pages are being corrected.

Why Your BAFSO Deadline Follows Your Admission Batch

Most IGNOU booklets print a date against a session. The BAFSO booklets print it against the batch you were admitted in, and the table on every 2025-26 paper has exactly two rows. A learner admitted in July 2025 was due to hand in by 30 April 2026. A learner admitted in January 2026 is due by 31 October 2026. In both cases the place of submission is the coordinator of your study centre, and the booklet asks you to take a receipt and keep a photocopy of what you hand in.

Slide sideways on a small screen. Every date is copied from the booklet named in the first column.

The pattern is the same on all five BAFSO-related papers, which makes it reliable for the 2025-26 cycle. It is also different from what a lot of IGNOU learners expect. The School of Social Sciences runs its master’s programmes on a 31 March and 30 September pair, and the Bachelor of Social Work, another four-year programme, prints the same pair on its 2026-27 booklet. A BAFSO learner who borrows either set of dates from a friend on another programme will be a month early or a month late.

If you were admitted in January 2026, your date is the nearest one: 31 October 2026, printed on the 2025-26 BAFSO booklet for your codes. That is the only urgency on this page, and it comes from IGNOU’s paper rather than from the store.

If you were admitted in July 2026, the BAFSO booklets for 2026-27 had not been posted on ignou.ac.in when this page was checked on 24 September 2026. The 2026-27 BASOH booklet from the same Discipline of Sociology is already live and gives its July 2026 batch until 30 April 2027. That makes 30 April 2027 the likely BAFSO date as well, but it is a likelihood, not a printed fact, and your own booklet will settle it once it appears.

Two further points apply to every cycle. Question papers expire: each booklet covers one pair of admission batches, and the next cycle brings new questions, so a set written against the 2025-26 BSOC-102 paper does not answer the 2026-27 one. IGNOU also issues university-wide extension notices from time to time, and when one appears your Regional Centre is the office that can say whether it moves your BAFSO date. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent.

Four Code Formats on One Session’s BAFSO Booklets

The assignment code is the reference the study centre and the evaluation division use to match a submitted set to a paper, and on BAFSO it is less helpful than on most programmes. The 2025-26 booklets print four different formats. BSOC-101 and BSOE-144 use ASST /TMA /2025-26. BSOC-102 uses ASST/TMA / 2025-2026. BSOS-184 uses ASST /TMA / July 2025-January 2026, and BSOG-171 uses ASST /TMA / July 2025 – Jan. 2026. Not one of them includes the course code, so two BAFSO papers can carry an identical assignment code.

The practical rule is to copy the assignment code exactly as your own booklet prints it, spaces and all, and to write the course code in its own field so that the paper cannot be mistaken for another. That is how the front page in each Shri Chakradhar Publication set is filled in, and it is why the order message asks for the course code rather than the assignment code.

The next cycle may look different. The 2026-27 BASOH booklet for BSOC-106 puts the course code first, as BSOC-106/ASST/TMA/2026-27. If the BAFSO booklets for 2026-27 follow the Discipline’s lead, the course code will return to the assignment code, and the front page will follow whatever format your new booklet prints.

One more label on these papers catches learners out. The booklets describe the middle section as Middle Category Questions and abbreviate it to MCQs. On a BAFSO paper that abbreviation does not mean multiple choice. It means three answers of about 250 words each that compare, distinguish or explain, and they are written in full like every other answer in the set.

Your Own Hand, Copied from One Page You Wrote

Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. The point is consistency. A BAFSO learner handing in ten Major papers, and several non-Major ones, is handing in a lot of sheets from one person, and they should look as though one person wrote them. The matching covers letter shapes, slant, the size of the writing and the spacing between lines as far as a single sample shows them.

Every set for one learner is written in the same matched hand, whether you order two codes or fourteen, so the BSOC papers and the minor and skill papers in one order look alike. If you order more codes later in the programme, send the same sample again so that the later sets match the earlier ones.

Taking the Sample Photo for a BAFSO Order

Write half a page or more in your ordinary hand, in the medium your paper is in. A Hindi-medium BAFSO learner should send a Hindi sample, because Devanagari letter forms cannot be read off an English page. Photograph it flat, in daylight, with the whole page in the frame and no shadow across it. A paragraph of any sociology answer you have already written is ideal, because it shows how you break long answers into paragraphs.

A sample written in the form the short answers take is also useful. BSOC-101’s Section III on the 2025-26 paper is five “differentiate” or “distinguish” questions, acculturation against assimilation and culture against civilization among them, at about 100 words each. The set writes each of these as a short paragraph that sets the two ideas side by side. If your counsellor has asked for a two-column layout for difference questions, say so in the order message.

Send your handwriting sample for a BAFSO set

English or Hindi, This Cycle or a Backlog BSOC Paper

The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. For BAFSO the prospectus records two, English and Hindi. The five booklets opened for this page were the English files, so if you are on the Hindi medium, send the course code and say Hindi, and the set is written against the Hindi paper for that code and session.

Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. For BAFSO, older has a floor. The Major and Honours programmes were launched with the January 2024 session, so the earliest BAFSO papers are the January 2024 files, which IGNOU printed under a single-session heading and with assignment codes such as ASST/TMA / Jan.-2024. Any BAFSO backlog you hold therefore dates from January 2024 or later, and the set is written against the paper for the session your record shows.

The programme code matters as much as the session. BAFSO, BASOH and the older BAG programme all use BSOC codes, and IGNOU prints separate booklets for them. The BASOH paper for BSOC-101 in 2024-25 asked for answers of about 500 words in its first section; the BAFSO paper for BSOC-101 in 2025-26 asks for about 400 and asks different questions. BAG uses a separate numbering, BSOC-131 onwards, for its own introductory papers. Tell the order desk BAFSO, not just BSOC, and the right booklet is used.

What to Type into WhatsApp for a BAFSO Order

Five details are enough to price and start a BAFSO order, and nothing else is needed at the first message.

  1. The programme code, BAFSO, so that the Sociology Major booklets are used rather than the BASOH or BAG ones.
  2. Each course code exactly as your re-registration record or study material dispatch prints it, including BSOC-110 or BSOE-144 if either appears.
  3. Your admission batch and the session of the paper, for example January 2026 batch, 2025-26 booklet.
  4. The medium, English or Hindi.
  5. Your pin code, so that the delivery estimate can be confirmed before you pay.

The handwriting photo can come in the same message or later. Your name, enrolment number and signature are not needed to write the set, because those go on the front page in your own hand after it arrives.

Before You Walk into the Study Centre with the BAFSO Set

When the packet arrives, read each set against its question paper. Check that the course code on the front page matches your record, that the assignment code matches your booklet character for character, and that every section of the paper has its answers. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course.

Fill in your name, enrolment number, address, study centre and date on each front page, and sign each one. Then take the sets to the coordinator of your study centre, which is the place of submission every BAFSO booklet names. Ask for a receipt for each code and keep it, and keep a photocopy of each set if you can, as the booklets advise.

After evaluation the study centre sends the marks to the Student Evaluation Division in New Delhi, and the booklets ask the study centre to return evaluated assignments to the learner. If a set is not accepted at the counter because of a front-page detail, correct the detail and resubmit it before your batch’s date.

Other Sociology Material BAFSO Learners Pick Up

The store has no shelf labelled BAFSO yet, so Sociology Major material is filed where the same BSOC codes already sit. Guide books for the core papers are on the BA Honours Sociology help book shelf covering BSOC-101 to BSOC-114, and books written for the new four-year BA are grouped on the new-syllabus Sociology books for four-year BA learners.

For the term-end examination, expected questions with answers for the shared codes are on the Sociology guess papers for BSOC codes, and past papers with solutions are on the solved BSOC previous-year question papers. Because these shelves were built for BASOH, check that a title matches your BAFSO code and syllabus before buying.

The non-Major papers have their own shelves. Books for the semester 1 choice sit with the interdisciplinary course books such as BPAG 171 and BEGG 171, BEVAE 181 and the language papers sit with the ability enhancement books for BEVAE 181 and BEGAE 182, and the value-added paper has the BEDSV 101 and BNME 001 value-added course books. The Minor and skill papers have the vocational minor books from BECS 184 to BCOS 186 and the skill enhancement books including BSOS 184.

Learners on other programmes who landed here will find every programme’s handwritten sets linked from the main IGNOU handwritten assignment catalogue.

BAFSO Questions Answered Before You Pay

Is BAFSO the same as BASOH, and is the BSOC-101 paper the same for both?

No. BAFSO is the Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) Major under the four-year framework, with 120 credits for the degree and 160 for Honours. BASOH is the earlier BA (Honours) Sociology programme, which the prospectus totals at 148 credits. Both use BSOC codes, but IGNOU prints separate booklets for each, and the questions and word limits differ, so a BAFSO set is written against the BAFSO paper.

My BAFSO booklet says 31 October 2026, but a website says 30 September. Which date applies?

The booklet. Every 2025-26 BAFSO paper opened for this page gives the January 2026 batch until 31 October 2026 and the July 2025 batch until 30 April 2026. The 30 September date belongs to other programmes. If IGNOU issues a university-wide notice, your Regional Centre confirms whether it changes your date.

I joined BAFSO in July 2026 and cannot find a 2026-27 booklet. Which paper should the set follow?

The 2026-27 BAFSO booklets were not on ignou.ac.in when this page was checked on 24 September 2026. Order when your own booklet appears, or send your codes now and the set is written once the paper for your session is published. The BASOH 2026-27 paper from the same Discipline prints 30 April 2027 for its July batch.

The assignment code on my BSOC paper has no course code in it. What goes on the front page?

Copy the assignment code exactly as your booklet prints it, and write the course code in its own field. The 2025-26 BAFSO papers use four different assignment-code formats, none of which names the course, so the separate course code is what identifies your paper.

Can I hand in a printed solved assignment for BSOC-102 instead of a handwritten one?

The BSOC-102 booklet asks for answers in your own words, written out neatly and submitted to the study centre coordinator, and the only typed exception in the Common Prospectus is for learners with a valid disability certificate. A solved PDF is a reference to write from, not a submission.

Solved assignment aur handwritten assignment mein BAFSO ke liye kya farak hai?

A solved assignment is a soft-copy file of model answers that you read. A handwritten assignment is the paper set you submit at the study centre. For BAFSO, the handwritten set is written against the BAFSO booklet for your code and session, with a front page and the question paper, at ₹320 per subject.

If I already bought a solved file for a BSOC code, do I still need a handwritten set?

Only if you are not going to write the answers yourself. The file helps you draft. What the study centre receives is a handwritten set, whether you write it or order it, and it has to answer the paper for your own session.

My record shows BSOC-110, but the prospectus list for BAFSO does not. Can I order it?

Yes. The ignou.ac.in BAFSO page lists BSOC-110 Social Stratification as a 6-credit BAFSO course even though the prospectus list does not, so the two documents disagree. Your re-registration record decides, and BSOC-110 is priced at ₹320 like any other code.

Can a BAFSO learner order BSOG-171 or BSOM-162?

The set can be written for any code, but the prospectus says your interdisciplinary course and your Minor must come from outside Sociology, which would exclude both. If either code is on your record, confirm it with your Regional Centre before submitting.

What does MCQ mean on a BAFSO paper?

Middle Category Questions. On BAFSO papers the middle section is three answers of about 250 words each at 10 marks, not multiple-choice questions, and the set writes them in full.

Does a Hindi-medium BAFSO set cost more than an English one?

No. The prospectus lists English and Hindi for BAFSO, and both are written at ₹320 per subject. Send a Hindi handwriting sample so that the Devanagari is matched.

I have a BSOC-103 backlog from the January 2024 session. Is that covered?

Yes. BAFSO began with the January 2024 session, so that is the earliest BAFSO paper there is, and the set is written against the paper for the session on your record at the same ₹320.

How are the BSOC-101 difference questions written, as a table or as a paragraph?

The 2025-26 BSOC-101 paper asks for about 100 words on each of its five difference questions, and the set writes each as a short paragraph setting the two ideas side by side. If your counsellor prefers a two-column layout, mention it when you order.

What paper size will my BAFSO set be written on?

None of the BAFSO-related booklets opened for this page names a paper size or ink colour. If your study centre coordinator has asked for a particular size, include it in your order message.

How many BAFSO codes can go in one packet?

As many as you order. There is no minimum and no bundle price; each code is its own set with its own front page and question paper, at ₹320 each.

Three Sources Behind This BAFSO Page, Kept Apart

From the Common Prospectus July 2026. The programme identity, school, medium, fee, duration and sessions come from the programme table. The ten Major codes, their titles and their 6-credit values come from the table printed inside section 5.11, read as the BAFSO list for the reasons given above, with the empty section 5.10 disclosed. The structure template, the credit categories, the exit points, the interdisciplinary and Minor rules and the common course lists come from the opening of chapter 5, and the typed-assignment exception comes from section 14.7. The prospectus is published by IGNOU as the Common Prospectus July 2026 PDF on ignou.ac.in.

From the live booklets and pages on ignou.ac.in. The submission dates, the assignment codes, the question pattern, the word limits and the cover-page programme names come from the 2025-26 booklets for BSOC-101, BSOC-102, BSOS-184, BSOG-171 and BSOE-144, and from the 2026-27 BASOH booklet for BSOC-106 used for comparison. The first of these is the BSOC-101 BAFSO booklet for July 2025 and January 2026, and the rest sit on the IGNOU assignment download service. The BSOC-110 listing and the second set of titles and credits come from the official BAFSO programme page. All were read on 24 September 2026.
