IGNOU Assignments Instructions (UPDATED)

  • We ask that our candidates carefully read the guidelines for IGNOU Assignments below (given below). This points will help the applicants get a higher grade for their presentation.
  • For each of the TEE Session, students must write their IGNOU Assignments with a Blue or Black ball point pen.
  • For writing the answers to the assignments, students must use only Foolscap size paper (330200). When printing, avoid using thin papers.
  • Please leave a line after each answer so that the examiner can write their comments in the blank areas.
  • Instead of writing on the ruled board, use blank sheets.
  • Candidates are encouraged to write their assignments entirely on their own, since the university would not consider copied responses. Copies of responses receive zero points. Copying from any reference books, units, or blocks is not permitted.
  • It is expressly forbidden to type or print the assignments on a computer.
  • In front of each answer, write the correct Question Number.
  • Your acknowledgment will be sent to the IGNOU research centre after you have submitted your assignment to the coordinator.
  • Please do not submit your assignment to any other IGNOU geographic research centre, such as Registration For Evaluation or Evaluation Division.
  • Do not write any of your assignments in one package. Make an effort to write each course of your assignment in its own paragraph.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING IGNOU ASSIGNMENTS

  • If an applicant has asked to change their study centre, he or she must apply their assignment to the initial study centre before the university has confirmed the change.
  • If you’ve already got notice from the university that your research centre transition was good, you can send your assignment to your new study centre, the one you want.
  • Candidates are encouraged to apply their assignments before the deadline. No nominee will be permitted to sit for the term end test until all assignments have been submitted. The candidate cannot be permitted to complete their TEE Form for that session.

Importance of Assignments

Assignments are essential because you must score at least 40% on each assignment and the Term End Examination (TEE) separately. You would not be permitted to offer the TEE for a course if you do not apply the course assignment inside the above-mentioned time frame. If you show up for the TEE without making the assignments, the TEE results will be cancelled.

Weighting of Assignments

A course’s assignments are worth 30% of the grade, while the Term End Examination is worth 70% of the grade.

Where can I get a copy of the IGNOU latest assignment question paper?

Visit the official IGNOU website or go to https://webservices.ignou.ac.in/assignments/ to get started.

For the same, you can go to the IGNOU Regional Centre or the designated Student Centre.

For the assignments, what kind of paper can I use?

For the assignments, you can use a Foolscap or A4 size paper. Use all sides of blank paper and no ruled sheets for more points. Avoid using paper that is too thin.

Do I write the assignments on one side of a piece of paper or both sides, or do I keep them in a notebook?

There is no such limit. However, if you want to get more points, I highly advise you to write on a single side. Notebooks can be avoided.

How many different pen colours can I use?

The regular Blue + Black combination can be used. Make the headings black and the main body of the response blue. Using a limited number of colours.

Is it better to make a margin or just start writing like a maniac?

On the left, leave a 4cm margin and at least 4 lines between each answer.

Can the assignments pages be stapled or spiral bound?

There is no such limit this time. Spiral attachment, on the other hand, may be favoured.

Is it possible for me to print or type the assignments because the responses are easily copied and pasted from the internet?

Only your own handwriting should be used to fill out the answers.

Is it necessary for me to hold a photocopy of the Assignment?

Yes, you must hold a photocopy of your assignments before sending them to the Study Centre.

Will IGNOU extend the deadline for submitting assignments in the same way as it expands acceptance dates?

Maybe. The deadline for submitting assignments is sometimes extended by IGNOU. However, you need not hesitate until the last minute to apply your assignments; instead, start working on them as soon as possible.

Is it possible to apply for re-evaluation of IGNOU assignments?

Except for substantive errors made by the evaluator, assignments are not subject to re-evaluation. If you discover that the score shown on the assessed assignment sheet has not been correctly mirrored or entered in your grade card, you should contact the study centre’s Coordinator and recommend that the correct award list be forwarded to the Student Evaluation Division (SED) at IGNOU, New Delhi.

We hope that this blog will assist our candidates in beginning their assignment from the first page to the end.

Please read and adhere to the directions given above for our candidates. Even, please spread the word and apply your IGNOU Assignment Solutions. However, please apply before the deadline so that the university can quickly consider and authorise it.
