An Introduction to IGNOU MCOM Master of Commerce Programme

The curriculum addresses the growing need for Commerce education at all levels, as well as providing needed manpower to manufacturing, trade, PSUs, Government, and private businesses in fields such as Finance, International Business, and Accounting. To be eligible for the Master of Commerce (M.Com.) degree, a student must complete 12 courses totaling 72 credits (1 credit equals 30 study hours), which include six main courses and six specialty courses. After completing all first-year courses worth 36 credits, the student will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Operations and a Master in Commerce Degree with a concentration in International Business Operations after completing all 72 credits.

Eligibility: A bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognised university is required.

English and Hindi are the mediums of instruction.

Duration: A minimum of two years and a maximum of four years; admissions are available in both the January and July cycles.

Fee Structure: Rs. 15,600/- for the whole package, payable in instalments of Rs. 7,800/- per year.
