Notice the three two-credit courses in the first semester. MIS-022, MIS-023 and MIS-024 each carry only two credits, which is unusual for an IGNOU master’s course, yet each one still carries a full hundred-mark assignment in the live booklet. Credit weight and assignment weight are not the same thing here, so a two-credit paper is not a lighter write.

1. The Common Prospectus (July 2026) names MIS-021 as “Safety Policy and Principles of Accident Prevention” in the MSCIDS table, while the live July-2024 assignment booklet and the diploma tables for the same course name it “Safety Philosophy and Principles of Accident Prevention”. One code, two titles, in the university’s own paperwork.
2. MIS-024 is printed as “Mechanical and Electrical Safety” in the MSCIDS prospectus table but as “Mechanical and Electrical Safety Management” in the booklet and in the diploma tables. The word “Management” is present in one and absent in the other.
3. The same codes are rendered four ways across IGNOU documents: “MIS 021” with a space in the master’s table, “MIS 21” as two digits in the certificate table, “MIS021” run together on the booklet cover, and “MIS-021” with a hyphen on the assignment-code line. The hyphenated form is the one printed against the actual paper.
4. The assignment code on a January-session paper reads MIS-025/TMA/2024 even though the session is 2025, because the year in the code follows the academic year that opened the previous July, not the calendar session. A “2024” on a paper you received for a January-2025 intake is not an out-of-date paper.

The Two Dates the School of Engineering Prints on Your MIS Paper
Submission dates are set per school, and the School of Engineering and Technology does not follow the management-school calendar that dominates search results. The two MSCIDS booklets read for this page print their own dates: the July-session first-semester booklet gives 30 September, and the January-session second-semester booklet gives 30 April. What MIS-025/TMA/2024 Is Actually Telling You
