Inside the Parcel That Reaches Your Door

An MTTM order is a physical thing, and it helps to know exactly what lands. Four items go into the packet for each course code you list, and nothing about the set is delivered electronically. No soft copy or PDF is sold.

• The written answers. Every question you are required to attempt from your MTTM TMA, written out by hand on A4 in blue ink, numbered against the question numbers printed on the booklet. The MTTM papers set ten questions and ask you to attempt any five at 20 marks each, so the set is built to that instruction unless your own booklet says otherwise.
• A free IGNOU-format front page. Prepared with your enrolment number, programme code, course code, assignment code and session already entered. Your name, your signature and your study-centre code stay blank, because those are yours to write on the day you hand the set in.
• A copy of the official TMA paper. The same MTTM question paper the answers were written from, so a coordinator comparing the two is looking at a matched pair rather than taking your word for the source.
• The set kept course-wise. Each code arrives as its own bundle. The IGNOU instruction is that a completed assignment goes as a single document per course and that two courses are never combined into one, so nothing is stapled across code boundaries.

There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. An MTTM learner clearing a single backlog paper and a Category II learner ordering all twelve first-year TMAs at once are quoted from the same number.

Where the ₹320 Stops and Where It Does Not

Pricing on tourism assignments is often quoted as a headline figure with the real cost arriving later, so it is worth writing down which side of the line each item sits on.

Inside the ₹320, per subject. The handwriting itself. The paper and the pen. The IGNOU-format front page. The copy of the MTTM question paper. The courier to your address. Handwriting matched from your own sample. Any medium IGNOU issues that paper in. Any session, current or old.

Outside it. Nothing that is charged separately, because nothing is. What sits outside the ₹320 is a set of things that are not for sale at any price: a promise about what an evaluator will award, a promise that a set will be accepted, and a promise about how many days the courier will take. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.

That last point is deliberate rather than evasive. A tourism learner in Port Blair and one in Rohini are not on the same courier network, and a figure that is true for one is a false promise to the other.

Reference PDF or Submission Copy: Telling the Two Apart

Two different products carry similar names and MTTM learners regularly buy the wrong one. Defining both once removes the confusion.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session. You read it, you understand the approach, and you write your own answers from it. A handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on A4 and submitted in hard copy at the study centre. One is study material. The other is the thing you hand over the counter.

The scoping matters and is easy to get wrong. A downloaded PDF is a reference to write from. It is not a submission, and printing it out does not turn it into one. Every MTTM booklet closes its guidance with the instruction that once you are satisfied with your answers you write down the final version for submission, writing each answer neatly and underlining the points you wish to emphasise. That sentence assumes a pen. If a reference file is what you actually want, the store keeps course-wise MTTM reference files organised by code and session, and that is the right page for it rather than this one.

The MTTM_NEW Syllabus IGNOU Printed for July 2026

The Common Prospectus for July 2026 lists the programme under section 3.36 as Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM_NEW), run by the School of Tourism and Hospitality Services Management, open to any graduate from a recognised institution or university, with English as the medium of instruction and registration handled semester wise rather than year wise. The course table below is reproduced from that document. Every title and every credit figure is as the prospectus prints it, including the spelling in the fourth-semester row.

Three details in that table repay a second look. The credits were added up before the table was trusted: eighteen theory papers at four credits each comes to 72, plus 8 for MTTMP 119, giving 80, which matches the prospectus line reading four semesters at 20 credits each. The numbering does not run in order, because MTTM 115 sits in Semester II between 109 and 110 while 110 to 114 belong to Semester III, so a learner sorting the codes numerically will put MICE Management in the wrong year. And MTTMP 119 carries a prefix nothing else in the programme uses, a trailing P, marking it as the dissertation rather than a taught paper. It is worth 8 credits, twice any other course, and it does not have a Tutor Marked Assignment, so it never appears in an order for handwritten papers. The Codes IGNOU Is Actually Issuing Papers Against

Here is where an MTTM learner gets stuck. The prospectus prints MTTM 101 to MTTM 118 and MTTMP 119. The assignment portal, in the same year, publishes booklets for a completely different set of numbers. Not one of the MTTM_NEW codes above appears on a 2026 TMA booklet, and not one of the codes below appears anywhere in the July 2026 Common Prospectus. The table is what the 2026 booklets themselves carry.

Titles for MTTM 2 to MTTM 8 and MTTM 10 to MTTM 14 were not read off a 2026 booklet during the preparation of this page, so they are not printed here. Giving a code range and asking you to read the exact titles off your own booklet is more honest than filling a column from a third-party list. Your admission record and the current-session booklet on ignou.ac.in are the two documents that settle it for your enrolment.

Category II Learners and the Four TS Papers

The 2026 First Year booklet is titled for Category 1 and Category 2 together and then splits them. Category II learners carry four additional papers on top of MTTM 1 to 8: TS-1 Foundation Course in Tourism and TS-2 Tourism Development: Products, Operations and Case Studies in the first semester, then TS-3 Management in Tourism and TS-6 Tourism Marketing in the second. The booklet’s wording is that these should be passed during the period of study, preferably during the first year itself. In assignment terms that is twelve Tutor Marked Assignments in year one rather than eight, which is a real difference in workload and in what an order costs. Each TS paper is priced the same as an MTTM paper. The same TS course content underlies several tourism programmes, so the BTS titles that carry the TS course material are often useful reading alongside the assignment itself.

Eight Places the MTTM Documents Contradict Each Other

Everything below was found by reading IGNOU’s own papers against one another. None of it is a complaint about the university; distance-education documents drift out of step, and a learner who knows where the drift is loses far less time than one who does not. The in-house errors are listed alongside the university’s.

Which June Deadline Applies to Your Year

MTTM does not work the way most people assume, and the assumption costs marks. The dates are not keyed to the session you took admission in. They are keyed to the term-end examination you intend to sit. The First Year 2026 booklet says it directly: submit your assignment before the due date specified for only those courses which you plan to give the examination in a particular Term End Examination. A July-intake learner sitting the December paper works to the December date; a January-intake learner sitting the same December paper works to the same date.

Two things follow from that table. First, the December date for MTTM is the thirtieth of October and not the thirty-first, which is the figure several management programmes print and which circulates widely as though it applied everywhere. A day is a small thing until it is the day you walked to the study centre. Second, when the three 2026 documents disagree, the earliest of them is the only safe plan. Every MTTM booklet carries its own hedge in a footnote reading that you should keep checking the IGNOU website for any change in the date of submission, which is the university telling you plainly that the printed date is not final.

Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. Missing the window does not simply lose those thirty marks. It removes your eligibility to sit that course’s examination in that cycle, which pushes the whole course into the next one.

What MTTM 115/TMA/2026 Is Telling You

The assignment code is printed on the booklet and copied onto your front page, and coordinators use it to file what you hand in. Getting it wrong is one of the quieter reasons a set goes missing between the counter and the evaluation record.

MTTM does not use a single format. The 2026 Second Year booklet prints the code for MICE Management as MTTM 115/TMA/2026, with a space after the prefix. The 2026 First Year booklet prints the code for Management Functions and Behaviour in Tourism as MTTM1/TMA/2026, with no space and no hyphen, even though the course header on the same page writes the code as MTTM-1. The 2025 Second Year booklet prints MTTM 9/TMA/2025. Read together, the pattern is prefix, then TMA, then a single year, and the spacing around the number is not consistent between papers.

Two consequences are worth carrying. The year in an MTTM code is a single year and never a two-year span, so a code reading 2026-27 on an MTTM paper is a sign you are holding the wrong booklet. And because it is a single year, the code cannot tell you which term-end examination you are aiming at. That comes from the deadline table above, not from the code. Copy the code exactly as your own booklet prints it, spacing included, rather than as this page or any other page prints it.

Matching the Hand That Writes Your Set

A tourism learner submitting four papers written in four different hands has a set that looks assembled rather than written. Consistency across the whole order is the point of the sample step. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge.

The Sample Photo, and What Happens Before You Pay

A phone photograph of any page in your own writing is enough. A page of MTTM notes, a filled form, anything with a few lines of continuous text. It goes to the writing desk, a sample in that style comes back to you on WhatsApp, and you decide from there. Nothing is paid until you have seen the hand your set will be written in. That is the order in which risk should sit: the store carries it first, not you.

One thing the sample cannot do is change what happens after submission. You sign the declaration on the assignment cover page, so you should read and review the content before submitting it, and satisfy yourself that it represents your own understanding of the course.

English-Medium Papers, Old Cycles and Backlog Codes

The Common Prospectus lists English as the medium of instruction for MTTM_NEW, and the MTTM booklets published for 2026 are the English papers, some carrying an (E) in the filename. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. For MTTM that currently means English. If IGNOU issues a tourism paper in another medium for your enrolment, send that booklet and it is written from that paper at the same rate rather than translated from the English one.

Session coverage is where MTTM orders most often stall elsewhere, because tourism learners frequently carry codes forward. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. A learner who registered years ago and never submitted MTTM 11, and a learner ordering the full second-year set for the current cycle, are quoted from the same number.

One caution that belongs here rather than in the fine print. An MTTM booklet is valid for the January and July cycles of the year printed on its cover, and the questions change when the year does. A 2025 paper is not a 2026 paper. If you are clearing an old code, say which year’s paper your study centre expects, because writing to the wrong year is the one mistake in this whole process that cannot be fixed after the fact.

The Short Message That Starts an Order

Five things are needed and nothing else. No form, no account, no upload.

1. Your course codes. Written as your booklet writes them. MTTM 11, MTTM 115, TS-3, and so on. If you are unsure which set applies to your registration, say which year you are in and it can be worked out from the booklets.
2. The session and the examination you are sitting. June or December, and the year. That decides which booklet the answers are written from and which cut-off the order is planned against.
3. Your category, if you know it. Category I or Category II changes whether the four TS papers belong in the order.
4. A handwriting sample photo. One page in your own hand.
5. A delivery address with the pin code. The pin code is what settles the courier position for your order.

Your enrolment number is needed as well, but only once the order is confirmed, because it goes on the front page rather than into the quote.

Checking the Set Before You Sign the Cover

The packet arrives and there is a short list worth working through before you carry it to the study centre.

• Match the questions to your own booklet. Open the MTTM PDF for your session on ignou.ac.in and confirm the question numbers answered are the ones your paper sets. Ten questions with any five attempted is the standard MTTM instruction, but read yours.
• Fill in what was left blank. Your name, your signature and your study-centre code go on the front page in your own hand.
• Read the answers. This is the step people skip and it is the one that matters most, because the declaration you sign is about your understanding of the course, not the writer’s.
• Keep the courses separate. One document per course, never two courses in one document. Hand the set to the Coordinator of your allotted study centre, not to a Regional Centre or to the Student Evaluation Division.
• Take the receipt and keep a photocopy. The MTTM booklet asks for both explicitly and says to insist on getting the evaluated set back afterwards. Marks travel from the study centre to the Student Evaluation Division in Delhi, and a receipt is the only thing you hold if that transfer goes wrong.

What Tourism Learners Pick Up With This Order

MTTM orders rarely arrive alone, because a tourism learner near a cut-off is usually near an examination too. A few things sit naturally alongside a handwritten set. MTTM help books built around the unit structure are the usual companion, because the booklets tell you to go through the units a question is based on before answering it and a condensed guide makes that a short job rather than a long one. Closer to the examination, expected-question sets for the tourism papers cover different ground from an assignment, since the TMA and the examination paper are not the same instrument.

Learners who came into MTTM through the certificate route sometimes want certificate-level tourism study material to fill a gap before the TS papers. If your codes sit outside tourism entirely, or you hold papers from more than one programme, the handwritten hub covering every IGNOU programme is the wider entry point, and an open order for any code and any cycle takes a mixed list without needing a programme page for each part of it. What MTTM Learners Ask Before They Pay

Which MTTM codes can be ordered at ₹320 a subject?

Any MTTM code IGNOU has issued a Tutor Marked Assignment for. That currently covers MTTM 1 to MTTM 14, MTTM 115, and TS-1, TS-2, TS-3 and TS-6 for Category II learners. If IGNOU publishes booklets against the MTTM_NEW numbers from MTTM 101 upward, those are written at the same rate. Send the codes exactly as your own booklet prints them.

My MTTM June deadline shows three different dates. Which one counts?

All three are real and all three come from IGNOU. The First Year 2026 booklet prints 30th April 2026, the Second Year 2026 booklet prints 31st March 2026, and a Student Evaluation Division notification extended June 2026 submissions to 31 May 2026. Plan against the earliest date that applies to your year, then confirm with your Regional Centre. Every MTTM booklet itself tells you to keep checking the IGNOU website for changes.

Is MTTM 15 the same paper as MTTM 115?

IGNOU has not said so in writing. The 2026 Second Year booklet cover lists MTTM – 9 TO 15 and MTTM 115, and its semester table prints the Semester IV slot as MTTM 15/MTTM 115, while the instruction page lists only MTTM-09 to 14 and MTTM 115. The 2025 edition listed MTTM 115 alone. If your registration shows MTTM 15, ask your Regional Centre which paper to submit against before writing anything, because this one cannot be inferred safely from the booklet.

I am registered under MTTM_NEW. Why does the portal show MTTM 1 to 14?

Because the two documents are out of step. The Common Prospectus for July 2026 lists MTTM 101 to MTTM 118 with MTTMP 119, and the assignment portal is publishing 2026 booklets for MTTM 1 to 15 and MTTM 115. Neither set appears in the other document. Assignments are written against the paper your study centre expects, so the booklet on ignou.ac.in for your session is the one that governs, not the prospectus table.

Do I need to submit an assignment for MTTMP 119 or MTTM 16?

No. Both are dissertation components rather than taught papers. MTTMP 119 is worth 8 credits in the prospectus table and is typed as Dissertation, and MTTM 16 appears in the booklet’s Semester III list but is excluded from the instruction naming the courses that carry a Tutor Marked Assignment. Neither belongs in a handwritten assignment order. Dissertation and synopsis work is a separate service.

Can a downloaded MTTM solved assignment PDF be handed in at the study centre?

No. A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for a course code and session, and it is something to write from rather than something to submit. Printing it does not change that. What goes over the counter is answers written by hand on A4 with a signed cover page.

What is the difference between an MTTM solved assignment and an MTTM handwritten assignment?

Format and purpose. The solved assignment is a PDF you read and rewrite from in your own words. The handwritten assignment is the answers written out by hand on A4 and submitted in hard copy at the study centre, arriving with a front page and the official question paper. A learner with time buys the first. A learner with a cut-off approaching buys the second.

Will a typed or printed MTTM answer set be accepted?

The MTTM booklet’s own guidance assumes handwriting, instructing you to write down the final version for submission and to underline the points you wish to emphasise once you are satisfied with your answers. Whether a particular study centre accepts anything else is a matter for that centre and for IGNOU, and no claim about acceptance is made here. Confirm with your coordinator before deviating.

Should I buy the reference PDF as well as the handwritten copy?

Only if you want to study from it. The handwritten set arrives complete and does not need a PDF to be usable. Some MTTM learners buy the reference file for revision because the same material feeds into the term-end examination, but that is a study decision rather than a submission requirement.

I am a Category II learner. Do the four TS papers cost the same?

Yes. TS-1, TS-2, TS-3 and TS-6 are priced at ₹320 each, exactly as an MTTM paper is. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. A Category II learner ordering all twelve first-year TMAs pays twelve times ₹320 with courier already inside that figure.

Are MTTM assignment papers available in Hindi?

The Common Prospectus lists English as the medium of instruction for MTTM_NEW, and the 2026 MTTM booklets published on ignou.ac.in are English papers. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, so if a paper exists for your enrolment in another medium, send that booklet and the set is written from it rather than from the English version.

My MTTM booklet is from 2025 and I never submitted it. Can that still be written?

How many questions does an MTTM Tutor Marked Assignment carry?

The MTTM papers set ten questions and instruct you to attempt any five, each carrying 20 marks, answered in about 500 words, for a total of 100 marks. Question ten is usually short notes broken into four parts of five marks each. Your own booklet governs, and if it prints a different pattern the set is written to yours rather than to this description.

Does the packet include the MTTM question paper?

Yes, a copy of the official TMA paper for each code goes in alongside the answers. It is included in the ₹320 and is not billed separately. Having the paper with the answers makes the set easier for a coordinator to check and easier for you to verify against the booklet before you sign.

What is already filled in on the free front page, and what do I write?

Prepared for you: enrolment number, programme code, course code, assignment code and session. Left blank on purpose: your name, your signature and your study-centre code. The signature has to be yours because the declaration on that page is a statement about your work, and the study-centre code is filled on the day so that a change of centre does not invalidate a page written weeks earlier.
